Beijing Touch Wonder Technology Co. has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese fantasy epic A Writer’s Odyssey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Kurzel (Alien: CovenantMacbeth, The Snowtown Murders, Assassin’s CreedThe Babadook, Overlord, The True History of the Kelly Gang). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Deadline is reporting that composer/music producer Elliott Wheeler (The Get Down) and writer/director Michael Sucsy (The Vow, Grey Gardens) are writing the music and lyrics for the original movie musical A Lot Like Christmas. Sucsy will also direct the film, which is set in New York City and revolves around EGOT-winner Riva DeLange, a woman synonymous with Christmas, as she revives her once-famous Christmas special in an attempt to reconnect with her children who hate the holidays because of their mother. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi horror thriller Come True. The album features the film’s original music composed by Electric Youth and Pilotpriest (aka Anthony Scott Burns who also directed the movie). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 12, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Modern Fears (Pilotpriest Come True Version)) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Night of the Kings is written and directed by Philippe Lacôte and stars Denis Lavant, Issaka Sawadogo, Steve Tientcheu and Koné Bakary. Maisie Music Publishing will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix animated series Kid Cosmic. The soundtrack features selections of the original music from the show composed by Andy Bean (Muppet Babies, Puppy Dog Pals). The Kid Cosmic and the Sonic Courage album will be released digitally tomorrow, February 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Kid Cosmic is created by Craig McCracken and features the voices of Jack Fisher, Tom Kenny, Amanda C. Miller, Kim Yarbrough, Keith Ferguson, Grey Griffin and Lily Rose Silver. Danny Elfman has revealed in a recent interview with Inverse that he is scoring the upcoming sci-fi thriller 65. The film is written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (Haunt, screenwriters of A Quiet Place) and stars Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. No plot details have been announced yet. Beck and Woods are also producing the project with regular Elfman collaborator Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Army of Darkness, Oz: The Great and Powerful, A Simple Plan), as well as Zainab Azizi and Deborah Liebling (PEN15, 50 States of Fright). The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Kong: Skull Island, Big Hero 6). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 26 exclusively on Apple Music/iTunes before being added to other digital music services a couple of weeks later. Netflix announced today that Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) will serve as the executive music producer on the upcoming Netflix original film Metal Lords. The movie is directed by Peter Sollett (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Raising Victor Vargas, Freeheld) and stars Jaeden Martell, Isis Hainsworth and Adrian Greensmith. The drama revolves around two kids who want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal. D. B. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s fifth and sixth season composed by Blake Neely (The Flight AttendantSupergirl, Greyhound, Riverdale) and Nathaniel Blume (Arrow, Prodigal Son, Deception).
