Caldera Records has announced the world premiere release of two scores composed by David Shire (The Conversation, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, All the President’s Men, Zodiac, Return to Oz, Short Circuit). The album features the composer’s unused score from the 1993 crime drama Deadfall (ultimately scored by Jim Fox) co-written and directed by Christopher Coppola and starring Michael Biehn, Sarah Trigger, Nicolas Cage, James Coburn, Charlie Sheen, Talia Shire & Peter Fonda, as well as his music from the 1998 television movie I Married a Monster directed by Nancy Malone and starring Richard Burgi and Susan Walters. Premiering tomorrow, October 5 is the CW drama Private Eyes West Coast created by Jennifer Kassabian & Sarah Dodd and starring Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson. The spinoff to the original 2017 Private Eyes series (scored by Pierce) follows Shade & Angie as they have left behind their P.I. firm and settled into a new life on the west coast, but their new quiet life is shaken when a night out lands them at the scene of a murder. The drama just premiered in Canada earlier this week on GLOBAL and will air in the U.S. Monday nights on The CW.
