Q&A Media’s Venice Music will release multiple soundtrack albums for the Netflix animated series Arcane, based on Riot Games’ League of Legends. Three first songs from Act I of the show (Playground by Bea Miller, Our Love by Curtis Harding & Jazmine Sullivan and Goodbye by Ramsey) are already being released today. Another song featured in Act II (Enemy by Imagine Dragons & JID) has been released last week (check out the official music video after the jump). The full soundtrack album, which also features tracks by Bones UK, Woodkid, Sting, Ray Chen & others will be coming out on November 20 (visit Amazon to stream/download). Also coming out our three separate albums featuring the show’s original score written by composers such as Mako (aka Alex Seaver), Alexander Temple, Cameron Stone, Adam Michalak, Kelci Hahn, and Jett Galindo. The first album featuring the score from Act I is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and other digital music stores) and two more score albums will be coming over the next two weeks.

Dan Romer Scoring Pixar’s ‘Ciao Alberto’
Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Superman & Lois, Maniac, Beasts of No Nation, The Good Doctor) has recently scored Pixar Animation Studios’ short Ciao Alberto. The film is directed by McKenna Harris and features the voices of Jack Dylan Grazer, Marco Barricelli and Jacob Tremblay who reprise their roles from Pixar’s feature Luca. The short follows Alberto as he is enjoying his new life in Portorosso working alongside Massimo, the imposing, tattooed, one-armed fisherman of few words. Matt DeMartini is producing the project and Enrico Casarosa & Kiri Hart serve as executive producers.
‘Little Ellen’ Soundtrack EP Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack EP for the HBO Max animated series Little Ellen. The EP features four songs from the show’s first season written and produced by composed by Jason Blackman (who also serves as a producer and writer on the project) & Jason Nesmith (Teen Titans Go!), including the theme song (co-written/produced with score composer Dara Taylor (The Tender Bar, Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, Echo Boomers), and performed by voice cast members Laurel Emory, Rocco Morris, Johanna Colon and JeCobi Swain. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other digital music services. Also listen to all four tracks after the jump. Little Ellen is created by Kevin A. Leman II & Jennifer Skelly and explores the world through the eyes of a seven-year-old Ellen DeGeneres and follows the character on her adventures in her musical hometown of New Orleans.
‘The Wheel of Time’ Soundtrack Albums Announced
Milan Records has announced The Wheel of Time: The First Turn, the first soundtrack album for the Amazon original series featuring the principal themes written by the show’s composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Crown, Bad Boys for Life). The 14-track collection includes key themes written by Balfe for the characters, settings and ideas central to The Wheel of Time universe and will be released digitally next Friday, November 12. Two first vocal tracks (Mashiara (Lost Love) & Caisen’shar (Old Blood)) featuring lyrics written and performed in Old Tongue, a language specific to the world of The Wheel of Time, are already available to stream/download now (listen to both tracks after the jump). A vinyl edition is set to come out in 2022. Three additional soundtrack albums featuring Balfe’s scores from the series will be released over the next couple of months.
‘Ridley Jones’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Capitol Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Netflix animated series Ridley Jones. The album features the songs from the second season of the show written by Christopher Dimond and Michael Kooman. The Vol. 2 soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the songs from Season 1 earlier this year. Ridley Jones is created by Chris Nee and stars Iara Nemirovsky, Laraine Newman, David Errigo Jr, Ezra Menas, Tyler Shamy, Ashlyn Madden, Sutton Foster, Jane Lynch, Blythe Danner, Chris Colfer, Andrew Rannells, Yvette Nicole Brown & Rhea Seehorn.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Narcos: Mexico’ to Be Released
Gaumont TV USA will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Narcos: Mexico. The album features selections of the original music from all three seasons of the show composed by Gustavo Santaoloalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries) & Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch & Rebels, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Titans). Also included is the extended version of Rodrigo Amarante’s main titles theme, Tuyo, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 5 and will be available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes. Narcos: Mexico is created by Carlo Bernard, Chris Brancato & Doug Miro and stars Diego Luna, Michael Peña, Tenoch Huerta, Joaquin Cosio, Jose Maria Yazpik, Matt Letscher, Teresa Ruiz, Alyssa Diaz, Alejandro Edda, Alfonso Dosal and Scoot McNairy.
‘El Cid’ Themes and Inspirations Album Released
Lakeshore Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Spanish Amazon original series El Cid. The album features the original themes, interludes and textures written by Academy Award winner Gustovo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Narcos: Mexico) who composed the music for the first two seasons of the show with Alfonso G. Aguilar. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The first two tracks can also be checked out below. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Santaolalla’s & Aguilar’s score from Season 1 & 2 earlier this year. Pat Irwin Scoring Showtime’s ‘Dexter: New Blood’
Pat Irwin (The Good Cop, But I’m a Cheerleader, Bored to Death) has composed the original music for the new Showtime limited series Dexter: New Blood. The show is developed by Clyde Phillips based on the network’s original Dexter series, which ran between 2006 and 2013 and the novels created by Jeff Lindsay and stars Michael C. Hall in the title role, Jennifer Carpenter who reprises her role as Dexter’s sister Deb, Jack Alcott, Julia Jones. Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah and Clancy Brown The crime drama is set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura and finds him living under an assumed name in the fictional small town of Iron Lake, New York.
Tom Howe Scoring HBO Max’s ‘Head of the Class’
Tom Howe (Early Man, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Charming, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women) is the composer of the new HBO Max original series Head of the Class. The show is based on the 1980s sitcom of the same title created by Rich Eustis & Michael Elias (scored by Ed Alton) and stars Isabella Gomez, Jorge Diaz, Jolie Hoang Rappaport, Gavin Lewis, Brandon Severs, Dior Goodjohn, Adrian Matthew Escalona and Katie Beth Hall. The comedy revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet a teacher who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.
First Soundtrack Album for ‘The Bureau of Magical Things’ to Be Released
Brett Aplin (Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, The Gloaming Surviving Georgia, The Longest Shot) will release the first soundtrack album for the Australian family comedy series The Bureau of Magical Things.
