Mychael Danna is reteaming with director Atom Egoyan on the upcoming thriller Remember. The film starring Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, Dean Norris, Bruno Ganz, Jurgen Prochnow, Heinz Lieven and Henry Czerny is described as a “thriller in which the darkest chapter of modern history collides with a contemporary mission of revenge”. Benjamin August has written the screenplay. Ari Lantos (The Right Kind of Wrong, Stage Fright) and Robert Lantos (Eastern Promises, Being Julia, eXistenZ) are producing the project.

Atli Örvarsson to Score ‘The Perfect Guy’
Atli Örvarsson has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Perfect Guy. The film is directed by David M. Rosenthal and stars Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, Morris Chestnut, Charles S. Dutton, Rutina Wesley and Kathryn Morris. The movie follows a woman who meets an IT expert who appears to be the perfect guy, but soon discovers a violent side of him. Tommy Oliver, Darryl Taja, Nicole Rocklin (Middle of Nowhere) and Wendy Rhoads (The Haunting in Connecticut) are producing the Screen Gems production. Tyger Williams (Menace II Society) has written the screenplay.
Clint Mansell Scoring Ben Wheatley’s ‘High-Rise’
Clint Mansell is composing the music for the upcoming thriller High-Rise. The film is directed by Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, Kill List, Down Terrace) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, James Purefoy, Luke Evans, Elisabeth Moss, Reece Shearsmith, Peter Ferdinando and Dan Renton Skinner. The movie is based on J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel of the same title and follows a young doctor who becomes embroiled in a sinister world in a new residential tower built in 1970s Britain, at the site of what will soon become the world’s financial hub. Amy Jump (Kill List, A Field in England) has written the screenplay.
Alberto Iglesias to Score Pedro Almodovar’s ‘Silence’ (‘Silencio’)
Alberto Iglesias will be reteaming with director Pedro Almodovar on the upcoming Spanish drama Silence (Silencio). The film stars Adriana Ugarte, Emma Suárez, Daniel Grao, Dario Grandinetti, Rossy de Palma, Inma Cuesta, Nathalie Poza and Pilar Castro. The movie spans 30 years in a woman’s life from a nostalgic 1985 when everything seems much better to 2015, when everything seems beyond repair and she is on the verge of madness. Almodovar is also writing the screenplay and the director’s brother Agustin is producing the project with Ester Garcia (Wild Tales).
Nick Urata to Score ‘Fun House’ aka ‘The Taliban Shuffle’
Nick Urata revealed in a recent interview with Flickreel that he will be reuniting with directors Glenn Ficarra & John Requa on the upcoming comedy Fun House (also known as The Taliban Shuffle). The film stars Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Alfred Molina, Nicholas Braun, Christopher Abbott, Sheila Vand, Stephen Peacocke, Evan Jonigkeit and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie is based on Kim Barker’s memoir The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan and recounts her years as a journalist in Afghanistan and Pakistan after arriving in the region in 2002. Robert Carlock (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) has written the screenplay. Fey is also producing the project with Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live, Wayne’s World, Three Amigos) and Ian Bryce (Transformers, Saving Private Ryan, Spider-Man).
Lorne Balfe to Score ‘Terminator Genisys’
Lorne Balfe has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming sci-fi action movie Terminator Genisys. Hans Zimmer will serve as the executive music producer according to the film’s new international poster. The film is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Sandrine Holt and J. K. Simmons. The movie follows John Connor as he sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future and finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past.. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine) have written the screenplay.
Fil Eisler to Score ABC’s ‘Kingmakers’ Pilot
Fil Eisler revealed in a recent interview with Buddy TV that he is set to score the upcoming ABC drama pilot Kingmakers. The show is created by Sallie Patrick (Revenge) and stars Gus Halper, Adrian Pasdar, Will Flaherty and Kristin Bauer van Straten. The drama follows a young man whose sister is found dead during her freshman year at an elite Ivy League university and adopts a new identity to infiltrate the school and its century-old secret society in order to investigate her death. Patrick is also executive producing the ABC Studios production.
Aaron Zigman Scoring ‘I Saw the Light’
Aaron Zigman is currently scoring the upcoming biographical drama I Saw the Light. The film is directed by Marc Abraham (producer of Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead and The Family Man) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz, Wrenn Schmidt, Josh Pais, Maddie Hasson and James DuMont. The movie tells the story of country music singer Hank Williams’ rise to fame and sudden death at the age of 29. Abraham has also written the screenplay based on the 1994 book Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott, George Merritt and William MacEwen. Aaron L. Gilbert (A Single Shot, Welcome to Me) is producing the RatPac Entertainment, Bron Studios and Creative Wealth Media Finance production with Abraham, Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand, Tower Heist) and music supervisor G. Marq Roswell.

Daniel Hart and Damien Jurado have composed the music for the upcoming indie drama Tumbledown. The film is directed by Sean Mewshaw and stars Rebecca Hall, Jason Sudeikis, Dianna Agron, Blythe Danner, Griffin Dunne, Joe Manganiello and Richard Masur. The movie centers on the widow of a recently deceased folk-singer who is approached by a charming New York writer intent on penning a biography of her late husband’s life. Desi Van Til has written the screenplay. Kristin Hahn (Cake), Margot Hand and Aaron L. Gilbert (A Single Shot, Trust Me, Welcome to Me) are producing the Bron Studios and Echo Films production.
Mark Isham Scoring Bob Yari’s ‘Papa’
Mark Isham is composing the music for the upcoming drama Papa. The film is directed by Bob Yari (producer of The Illusionist, Hostage and The Painted Veil) and stars Giovanni Ribisi, Adrian Sparks, Joely Richardson, James Remar and Minka Kelly. The movie follows an American journalist who travels to Cuba in 1959, on a mission to meet his idol, the legendary Ernest Hemingway. Denne Bart Petitclerc has written the screenplay based on his own experience. Yari is also producing the project, which marks the first Hollywood production that was shot in Cuba in over 45 years.
