The film is directed by Christian Ditter (Love, Rosie, French for Beginners) and stars Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Damon Wayans, Jr., Alison Brie, Anders Holm, Nicholas Braun, Jake Lacy, Jason Mantzoukas and Leslie Mann. The movie centers on a woman living in New York and searching for love. Abby Kohn & Marc Silverstein (The Vow, He’s Just Not That Into You, Never Been Kissed) and Dana Fox (Couples Retreat, What Happens in Vegas) have written the screenplay based on the book by Liz Tucillo (Sex & the City).

Richard Gibbs to Score RZA’s ‘Coco’
Richard Gibbs has signed on to score the upcoming music drama Coco. The film is directed by RZA (The Man with the Iron Fists) and stars Azealia Banks, Common, Jill Scott, Lucien Laviscount, Lorraine Toussaint and Hana Mae. The movie follows an aspiring hip-hop artist who struggles to pursue her music and returns to school, where she discovers the vivid world of slam poetry and finds her true voice and an unlikely love. Nicole Asher has written the screenplay. Paul Hall (Higher Learning, For Colored Girls, Addicted, Pride) is producing the project.
Bryan Senti to Score ‘London Town’
Bryan Senti has signed on to score the upcoming drama London Town. The film is directed by Derrick Borte (The Joneses, H8RZ) and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as The Clash frontman Joe Strummer, alongside Daniel Huttlestone, Dougray Scott and Natascha McElhone. The movie is set in 1978 and centers on a teenager who ventures into central London from its bleak outskirts and is introduced to the Clash by his estranged mother. Kirsten Sheridan (August Rush, In America), Sonya Gildea and Matthew Brown (The Man Who Knew Infinity) have written the screenplay.
Lorne Balfe to Score Michael Bay’s ’13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’
Lorne Balfe has been hired to score Michael Bay’s upcoming action drama 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. The film stars James Badge Dale, John Krasinski and Max Martini. The movie centers on the six members of a security team who fought to defend the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi from an attack of Islamist militants on September 11, 2012 – the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.. Chuck Hogan (The Strain) has written the screenplay based on the book of the same title by Mitchell Zukoff. Bay is also producing the drama with Erwin Stoff (Edge of Tomorrow, Unbroken, Constantine). Hans Zimmer will serve as the executive music producer on the project.
Erran Baron Cohen Scoring ‘The Brothers Grimsby’
Erran Baron Cohen is currently recording his score for the upcoming comedy The Brothers Grimsby. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans, Now You See Me) and stars the composer’s brother Sacha Baron Cohen, alongside Mark Strong, Isla Fisher, Rebel Wilson, Gabourey Sidibe and Penélope Cruz. The movie follows a British black ops spy who is forced to team up with his idiotic English football hooligan brother. Sacha Baron Cohen also co-wrote the screenplay with Phil Johnston (Wreck-It-Ralph) & Peter Baynham (Hotel Transylvania) and is producing the project with Nira Park (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Paul).
Ramin Djawadi to Score ‘Robinson Crusoe’
Ramin Djawadi has signed on to score the upcoming 3D animated feature Robinson Crusoe. The film is directed by Ben Stassen and Vincent Kesteloot and tells Crusoe’s story from the point of view of his quirky companions, including his parrot Tuesday, who dreams of exploring the world. Stassen is also producing the project for nWave Pictures. Djawadi has previously scored a number of features for nWave and Stassen, including Fly Me to the Moon, the Sammy’s Adventures movies, African Safari and House of Magic. Studiocanal will release Robinson Crusoe in early 2016 in Europe. Lionsgate has recently picked up domestic distribution rights and is planning a theatrical release in mid-September through Summit Entertainment.
Steve Jablonsky & Nathan Whitehead to Score ‘Keanu’
Steve Jablonsky and Nathan Whitehead have been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Keanu. The film is directed by Peter Atencio (Key and Peele) and stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, alongside Will Forte, Nia Long and Method Man. The movie follows a group of friends posing as drug dealers in order to retrieve a stolen feline. Peele has also co-written the screenplay with Alex Rubens (Key and Peele, Community). Key and Peele are also producing the New Line Cinema production with Peter Principato (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Jessabelle), Paul Young (Married) and Joel Zadak.
Patrick Watson Scoring Alexandre Aja’s ‘The 9th Life of Louis Drax’
Singer/songwriter Patrick Watson has composed the music for the upcoming supernatural thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax. The film is directed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D, High Tension) and stars Jamie Dornan, Aaron Paul, Sarah Gadon, Oliver Platt, Molly Parker, Barbara Hershey and Aiden Longworth. The movie follows a psychologist who begins working with a young boy who has suffered a near-fatal fall and finds himself drawn into a mystery that tests the boundaries of fantasy and reality. Actor Max Minghella has written the screenplay based on Liz Jensen’s novel of the same title.
Max Richter to Score Luke Scott’s ‘Morgan’
Max Richter has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Morgan. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Ridley Scott’s son Luke and stars Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, Paul Giamatti, Toby Jones and Boyd Holbrook. The movie follows a corporate risk-management consultant who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate a genetically-engineered being. Seth W. Owen has written the Black List-honored screenplay for the Fox production. Ridley Scott is producing the project with Michael Schaefer (The Martian, Exodus: Gods and Kings) and Elishia Holmes.

Mark Mothersbaugh has recently composed the score for the upcoming sequel Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. The film is directed by Walt Becker (Wild Hogs, Old Dogs) and stars Jason Lee, Tony Hale, Kimberly Williamss-Paisley, Josh Green, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate. The family movie follows Alvin, Simon and Theodore as they try to stop Dave from proposing to his new girlfriend in Miami. Randi Mayem Singer (Mrs. Doubtfire, Tooth Fairy) has written the screenplay. Ross Bagdasarian and Janice Karman are producing the project.
