Dominic Lewis has taken over scoring duties on the dramatic thriller Money Monster. The movie is directed by Jodie Foster and stars George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jack O’Connell, Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe. The film follows a bombastic television stock huckster whose program and life are taken hostage by an outraged gunman. Alan DiFiore & Jim Kouf (National Treasure, Rush Hour) and Jamie Linden (We Are Marshall, Dear John) have written the screenplay. Clooney is also producing the project with Grant Heslov (Argo, The Ides of March), Daniel Dubiecki (Up in the Air) and Lara Alameddine.

Joel P. West to Score Joel David Moore’s ‘Youth in Oregon’
Joel P. West has been hired to score the upcoming indie comedy Youth in Oregon. The film is directed by Joel David Moore (Spiral) and stars Frank Langella, Billy Crudup, Christina Applegate, Mary Kay Place, Josh Lucas, Nicola Peltz and Alex Shaffer. The movie follows a man who is tasked with driving his embittered 80-year-old father-in-law cross country to be legally euthanized in Oregon, while along the way helping him rediscover a reason for living. Andrew Eisen has written the screenplay. Stefan Nowicki, Joey Carey & Morgan White (Jack of the Red Hearts, Dark Was the Night) are producing the project.
Klaus Badelt Scoring ‘Warrior’s Gate’
Klaus Badelt has recently recorded his score for the upcoming martial arts action adventure epic Warrior’s Gate. The film is directed by Matthias Hoene (Cockneys vs Zombies) and stars Dave Bautista, Mark Zhao, Ni Ni, Uriah Shelton, Francis Ng and Sienna Guillory. The movie follows a teenager who is magically transported to China and learns to convert his videogame skills into those of a Kung Fu warrior. Luc Besson (The Professional, Lucy, The Fifth Element) and Robert Kamen (Taken, The Karate Kid, The Transporter) have written the screenplay. Besson is also producing the project through his EuropaCorp production company with Mark Gao (The Transporter Refueled, Nine Lives).
Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) Scoring ‘Spectral’
Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL is composing the music for the upcoming sci-fi fantasy action thriller Spectral. The film is directed by Nic Mathieu and stars James Badge Dale, Max Martini, Emily Mortimer and Bruce Greenwood. The movie follows a special-ops team that is dispatched to fight supernatural beings that have taken over New York City. Ian Fried, John Gatins (Flight, Real Steel), and George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau, The Bourne Ultimatum) have written the screenplay based on a story by Fried. Thomas Tull & Jon Jashni (Godzilla, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak) are producing the Legendary Pictures production.

Dickon Hinchliffe is scoring the upcoming indie comedy drama Geezer. The film is written and directed by Lee Kirk (The Giant Mechanical Man) and stars Billie Joe Armstrong, Fred Armisen, Judy Greer, Selma Blair, Chris Messina and Madsiyn Shipman. The movie follows a happily married father of two who – on the occasion of his 40th birthday – seeks to revisit his former life as the lead singer in a popular punk band. Cliff Martinez is set to compose the music for the upcoming action thriller The Foreigner. The film is directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro) and stars Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan. The movie follows a restaurant owner in London’s Chinatown who is tracking down a group of Irish terrorists responsible for the death of his daughter. David Marconi (Enemy of the State) and Peter Buchman (Che, Jurassic Park III) have written the screenplay based on Stephen Leather’s novel The Chinaman. Wayne Marc Godfrey and Arthur Sarkissian (Rush Hour series) are producing the project.

Ahmir Thompson aka Questlove has recently composed the music for the upcoming indie drama Vincent N Roxxy. The film is written and directed by Gary Michael Schultz and stars Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz, Emory Cohen, Zoey Deutch, Jason Mitchell, Beau Knapp and Scott Mescudi. The movie follows a small town loner and a rebellious punk rocker who unexpectedly fall in love as they are forced on the run and soon discover violence follows them everywhere. Anton Sanko Scoring ‘Big Bear’
Anton Sanko is composing the score for the upcoming dark comedy Big Bear. The film is written and directed by Joey Kern who also stars in the film alongside Pablo Schreiber, Adam Brody, Tyler Labine and Zachary Knighton. The movie follows a soon-to-be-married man dumped by his fiancee who reluctantly goes ahead with his bachelor party anyway. Brandon Evans & Patrick Rizzotti (Pride, The Collector) is producing the project with Kern and Luke Edwards. Sanko has previously scored the Evans- and Rizzotti-produced feature Bloodsucking Bastards.
Marco Beltrami to Score Jaume Collet-Serra’s ‘The Shallows’
Marco Beltrami has been tapped score the upcoming thriller The Shallows. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Non-Stop, Run All Night, Orphan) and stars Blake Lively and Oscar Jaenada. The movie follows a young woman who is grieving the loss her mother and surfing in an isolated area when she gets stranded on a buoy and a gigantic great white shark comes between her and the shore. Anthony Jaswinski (Vanishing on 7th Street) has written the screenplay. Lynn Harris (The Notebook, Blade: Trinity) and Matti Leshem are producing the project.
Christopher Lennertz to Score ‘Bad Moms’
Christopher Lennertz has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Bad Moms. The film is written and directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore (21 & Over, writers of The Hangover) and stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith and Kathryn Hahn. The movie follows three moms who embark on a quest to liberate themselves from their mundane life, accidentally landing themselves on a collision course with their children’s school’s PTA president and her blindly devoted clique of “perfect” moms. Bill Block (Fury, Elysium, W.) and Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland, Memento) are producing the project.
