Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) has recently composed the music for the upcoming indie drama In Dubious Battle. The film is directed by James Franco who also stars in the movie alongside Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Nat Wolff, Josh Hutcherson, Zach Braff, Analeigh Tipton, Ashley Greene, Ahna O’Reilly John Savage and Sam Shepard. The movie is based on John Steinbeck’s 1936 novel of the same title and centers on a labor conflict between migrant apple pickers and the local growers’ association in a California valley. Nathan Matthew David has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy The Last Word. The film is directed by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies) and stars Shirley MacLaine, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Heche, Philip Baker Hall, Scott Speedman and Tom Everett Scott. The movie centers around the relationship between a retired businesswoman who decides to write her own obituary and a young journalist takes up the task of finding out the truth. Michael Wandmacher has signed on to score the upcoming action horror sequel Underworld: Blood Wars. Corey Allen Jackson has been hired to score the upcoming drama The Bleeder. The film is directed by Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar, The Good Lie) and stars Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Elisabeth Moss, Jim Gaffigan, Michael Rapaport, Pooch Hall, Morgan Spector and Ron Perlman. The movie tells the true story of former New Jersey heavyweight boxer and womanizer Chuck Wepner who boxed 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali and inspired Sylvester Stallone to write Rocky. Jeff Feuerzeig(The Devil and Daniel Johnston), Jerry Stahl (Bad Boys II, Hemingway & Gellhorn) and Michael Cristofer (The Witches of Eastwick) have written the screenplay.
George Kallis to Score ‘And Then There Was Light’
George Kallis is set to compose the music for the upcoming family drama And Then There Was Light. The film is written and directed by Castille Landon and stars Amy Smart, Burt Reynolds, Jack Griffo and AJ Michalka. The movie centers on a young girl who struggles after a traumatic horse riding accident causes her to lose her eyesight and is introduced to Apple, a miniature horse as her companion and surrogate eyes. Mario Grigorov is scoring the upcoming historical drama Another Mother’s Son. The film is directed by Christopher Menaul (Summer in February, The Forsyte Saga) and stars Jenny Seagrove, Ronan Keating, Julian Kostov, John Hannah, Amanda Abbington, Susan Hampsire and Peter Wight. The movie is set during World War II, when the island of Jersey was occupied by the Nazis and tells the true story of Louisa Gould, who took in an escaped Russian POW and hid him over the course of the war. Jenny Lecoat has written the screenplay. Daniel-Konrad Cooper (Big Significant Things) and Bill Kenwright (Cheri, Broken) are producing the project.
Cliff Martinez to Score James Mangold’s ‘Wolverine’ Sequel
Cliff Martinez has signed on to score James Mangold’s currently untitled Wolverine sequel. The film stars Hugh Jackman in the title role and will mark his final appearance as the character. Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal are co-starring. No plot details have been announced yet. David James Kelly has written the screenplay. Simon Kinberg (X-Men:Days of Future Past & Apocalypse, The Martian, Cinderella) is producing the project with Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men series, Deadpool, Constantine).

Rob Simonsen has composed the music for the upcoming drama Gifted. The movie follows a single man raising his child prodigy niece, when the seven-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of his formidable mother. Tom Flynn has written the screenplay. Clint Eastwood’s ‘Sully’ to Feature Music by Christian Jacob & The Tierney Sutton Band
Christian Jacob and The Tierney Sutton Band are composing the original music for the upcoming drama Sully. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood (American Sniper, Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby) and stars Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney. The movie tells the true story of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger who, in 2009, became a national hero in after he successfully executed an emergency water landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River. Todd Komarnicki (Perfect Stranger) has written the screenplay based on the book Highest Duty by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. Frank Marshall (Jurassic World, The Bourne Ultimatum, Poltergeist) is producing the project with Allyn Stewart (I Dreamed of Africa) and Tim Moore.
