The film is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, World War Z, Monster’s Ball) and stars Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss, Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett, Toby Jones, Nick Mohammed, Peter Capaldi and Sophie Okonedo. The movie tells the story of Robin, the little boy from the Winnie the Pooh series, who is now all-grown-up and lost all sense of imagination.

Benjamin Wallfisch Scoring Steven Knight’s ‘Serenity’
Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Annabelle: Creation) is composing the music for the upcoming noir thriller Serenity. The film is written and directed by Steven Knight (Locke, screenwriter of Eastern Promises & Dirty Pretty Things) and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou and Diane Lane. The movie follows a fishing boat captain who is forced to grapple with his mysterious past after a glamorous woman crashes up against his simple life on a small island in the Caribbean and leaves him questioning his reality.
Laura Rossi Scoring David Blair’s ‘Hurricane’
This week, Laura Rossi is recording her score for the upcoming historical drama Hurricane. The film is directed by David Blair (Away, Best Laid Plans) and stars Iwan Rheon, Milo Gibson, Stefanie Martini, Kristof Hadek and Marcin Dorocinski. The movie tells the story of Lt. Johnny Kent, a Canadian flight lieutenant who led the newly formed Royal Air Force 303 squadron of Hawker Hurricane fighter planes flown by Polish pilots at the height of the Battle of Britain during World War II. Matt Whyte (One Night in Istanbul) is producing the Stray Dogs Films production.
Harry Gregson-Williams to Score Disneynature’s ‘Penguins’
Harry Gregson-Williams has been hired to score the upcoming Disneynature documentary Penguins. The film is directed by Alastair Fothergill (Earth, African Cats, Chimpanzee), co-directed by Mark Linfield and Jeff Wilson and tells the coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. The directors are also producing the project with Keith Scholey and Roy Conli. Gregson-Williams has previously scored Disneynature’s 2015 feature Monkey Kingdom directed by Linfield & Fothergill.
Geoff Zanelli to Reteam with David Koepp on ‘You Should Have Left’
Geoff Zanelli is set to reteam with David Koepp on the upcoming horror thriller You Should Have Left. The film is written and directed by Koepp (Stir of Echoes, screenwriter of Jurassic Park & Spider-Man) and stars Kevin Bacon. The movie is based on Daniel Kehlmann’s 2007 novel of the same title and follows screenwriter who is working on a sequel to his hit film in a remote house in the Alps and begins to lose his bearings thanks to unexplained occurrences. Jason Blum (Get Out, Insidious, The Purge, Paranormal Activity) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company.

The film is directed by Crispian Mills (A Fantastic Fear of Everything) and stars Simon Pegg, Michael Sheen, Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole, Hermione Corfield and Nick Frost. The movie is set in an illustrious British boarding school that becomes a bloody battleground when a mysterious sinkhole appears at a nearby fracking site, unleashing unspeakable horror.

Alexandre Desplat has begun work on the upcoming historical thriller Operation Finale. The film is directed by Chris Weitz (About a Boy) and stars Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, Melanie Laurent, Lior Raz, Nick Kroll, Michael Aronov, Haley Lu Richardson, Joe Alwyn, Ohad Knoller, Greg Hill, Torben Liebrecht, Mike Hernandez, Greta Scacchi and Pêpê Rapazote. The movie tells the true story of the 1960 covert mission where legendary Mossad agent Peter Malkin infiltrates Argentina and captures Nazi officer Adolf Eichmann.

Mark Orton is scoring the upcoming indie comedy drama Elsewhere. The film is written and directed by Hernan Jimenez (About Us) and stars Aden Young, Parker Posey, Ken Jeong, Beau Bridges, Jacki Weaver and Jackie Tohn. The movie follows a man who is hopelessly attached to the seaside cottage that he and his late wife built together and – after getting evicted – vows to get it back at any price. Jiminez’s producing partner Chris Cole is producing the project with Branded Pictures Entertainment’s J. Todd Harris (Bottle Shock, Supercross).

Roque Banos is reuniting with director Fede Alvarez on the upcoming thriller The Girl in the Spider’s Web. The film stars Claire Foy, alongside Sverrir Gudnason, Sylvia Hoeks, Claes Bang, Lakeith Stanfield, Vicky Krieps, Synnove Macody Lund and Stephen Merchant. The movie is the sequel to David Fincher’s 2011 feature The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (scored by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross) and follows Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist as they find themselves caught in a web of spies, cyber criminals and corrupt government officials.
