Radiohead member Thom Yorke has contributed an original song for the drama written and directed by Edward Norton who also stars in the movie, alongside Bruce Willis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bobby Cannavale, Cherry Jones, Michael Kenneth Williams, Leslie Mann, Ethan Suplee, Dallas Roberts, Josh Pais, Robert Ray Wisdom, Fisher Stevens, Alec Baldwin and Willem Dafoe. The movie follows a lonely private detective living with with Tourette Syndrome as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend.

Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Bridesmaids, Daddy’s Home, Freaks & Geeks, Funny People, Bad Teacher) and DJ Greyboy have composed the original score for the new Netflix original movie Always Be My Maybe. The film is directed by Nahnatchka Khan (Fresh Off the Boat, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) and stars Ali Wong, Randall Park, Keanu Reeves, Michelle Buteau, Vivian Bang, Karan Soni, Charlyne Yi, Daniel Dae Kim, James Saito, Lyrics Born and Susan Park. The romantic comedy follows a famous chef and a hometown musician who reunite after fifteen years and feel the old sparks of attraction but struggle to adapt to each other’s worlds.
Geoff Zanelli to Score ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’
Geoff Zanelli is reteaming with director Joachim Rønning on the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The film starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville picks up several years after the original 2014 film (which was scored by James Newton Howard) and explores the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced today that Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Venom) is set to compose the music for Christopher Nolan’s next feature, Tenet. The film starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh is being described as an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.
Zack Ryan to Return for Netflix’s ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby’
Zack Ryan is set to return as the composer of the upcoming Netflix original movie A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. The film is directed by John Schultz (Like Mike, Aliens in the Attic) and stars Rose McIver, Ben Lamb and Alice Krige. In the third installment of the series, Amber and Prince Richard welcome another royal family to Adolvia to renew an ancient truce. Nate Atkins wrote the screenplay. Ryan (I Smile Back, Just Add Magic) has previously scored the first two parts in the series, 2017’s A Christmas Prince and last year’s A Christmas Prince: A Royal Wedding.

The film is written and directed by Ari Aster (Hereditary) and stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, Vilhelm Blomgran, Archie Madekwe, Ellora Torchia and Will Poulter. The movie follows a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart who go a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village.
Oli Julian Scoring Coky Giedroyc’s ‘How to Build a Girl’
This week, Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, Episodes, Plebs) is recording his score for the upcoming coming-of-age comedy How to Build a Girl. The film is directed by Coky Giedroyc (Harlots, The Hour) and stars Beanie Feldstein in the title role, alongside Emma Thompson, Chris O’Dowd, Alfie Allen, Paddy Considine and Sarah Solemani. The movie is based on Caitlin Moran’s best-selling book of the same title and follows a smart, opinionated and overweight 16-year-old girl who is desperate to get out of her hometown and make a name for herself and decides reinvent herself as Dolly Wilde, a rock music critic.
Eric Serra to Score ‘Heart of Oak’
Eric Serra (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element, GoldenEye, La Femme Nikita, Lucy, The Big Blue) is set to compose the score for the upcoming documentary Heart of Oak. The film is directed by Laurent Charbonnier (Animals in Love) & Michel Seydoux (The Dance of Reality, The Sense of Wonder) and will explore the power and longevity of oak trees. The movie is produced by Winds and Camera One. Gaumont is set to release the documentary in French theaters in late 2020.

A soundtrack album has been released for the period drama The Iron Orchard. The album features the film’s original music composed by Duncan Thum (Chef’s Table, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On, The Wedding Invitation). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Iron Orchard is co-written and directed by Ty Roberts and stars Lane Garrison, Ali Cobrin, Austin Nichols and Lew Temple. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Tom Pendleton and tells the story of an unsophisticated and unskilled young man thrust into the brutal West Texas oilfields in the late 1930s, who ultimately becomes a formidable wildcatter.
