Miles of Lions Records has released a score album for Zach Braff’s indie dramedy Wish I Was Here. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Rob Simonsen (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer, The Way Way Back). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Also watch a video featuring Simonsen performing his theme from the score on the piano below. Columbia Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. Wish I Was Here stars Zach Braff, Kate Hudson, Joey King, Jim Parsons, Ashley Green, Mandy Patinkin and Josh Gad. The Kickstarter-funded film written and directed by Braff follows a thirtysomething man who finds himself at major crossroads, which forces him to examine his life, his career, and his family.

‘Tokarev’ (‘Rage’) Soundtrack Announced
Caldera Records has announced the details of the soundtrack release for the action thriller Tokarev (released in the U.S. under the title Rage). The album features the film’s original music composed by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Winnie Mandela). Tokarev is directed by Paco Cabezas and stars Nicolas Cage, Rachel Nichols and Danny Glover. The thriller follows a respectable businessman who rounds up his old crew to help him find his kidnapped teenage daughter. The movie was released in select theaters this summer by Image Entertainment and is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
‘Saint Laurent’ Soundtrack Announced
EuropaCorp will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Saint Laurent. The album features the film’s original score composed by the film’s director Bertrand Bonello (House of Tolerance). Also included are the songs from the film by artists including Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Velvet Underground, The Metros, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and Patti Austin, as well as several classical pieces featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 22, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Saint Laurent directed by Bonello stars Gaspard Ulliel, Louis Garrel, Jérémie Renier and Lea Seydoux. The movie takes place between 1976 and 1987, during which time the famed French fashion designer was at the peak of his career. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was picked up for U.S. distribution by Sony Pictures Classics.
‘Reclaim’ Soundtrack Details
Silva Screen Records America will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Reclaim. The album features the film’s original music composed by Inon Zur (Prince of Persia, Dragon Age, Crysis video games). Also included is the song Fighting the World performed by Mike Harris and written by Maddie White (check out the track after the jump), as well as three songs written by Edgardo Monserrat. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 16, 2014 and physically on October 14. The CD is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Reclaim is directed by Alan White and stars John Cusack, Ryan Phillippe, Rachelle Lefevre, Jacki Weaver and Luis Guzman. The movie follows an American couple, who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their new seven-year old daughter who mysteriously vanishes from their hotel room.
‘Moms’ Night Out’ Score Album Announced
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the family comedy Moms’ Night Out. The album features the film’s original score composed by Marc & Steffan Fantini (Criminal Minds, Army Wives). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 12, 2014 on iTunes. Moms’ Night Out is directed by Andrew & Jon Erwin (October Baby) and stars Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton, Alex Kendrick, Robert Amaya, Abbie Cobb, Andrea Logan White, Kevin Downes, Harry Shum Jr. and Trace Adkins. The TriStar Pictures production follows the busy lives of three mothers as they attempt to have one celebratory night on the town, only to have it turn into complete chaos. The comedy opened in theaters nationwide this past May and was released on Blu-ray and DVD earlier this month.
James Newton Howard’s ‘Eye for an Eye’ Score Released
La-La Land Records has released the world premiere soundtrack album for Paramount Pictures’ 1996 thriller Eye for an Eye directed by John Schlesinger and starring Sally Field, Ed Harris and Kiefer Sutherland. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Sixth Sense, The Fugitive, Signs, Maleficent), including several tracks that were unused in the movie, as well as two alternate cues as bonus tracks. ‘The Best of Me’ Soundtrack Details
EMI Nashville in conjunction with Relativity Music will release a soundtrack album for the romantic drama The Best of Me. The album features the original song I Did With You by Lady Antebellum (co-written with Monty Powell) inspired by the story in the film, which is already available as a single on iTunes. Also included are songs by Hunter Hayes, David Nail, Colbie Caillat, Kip Moore and the Eli Young Band. The soundtrack will be released on October 7, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Best of Me based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks and directed by Michael Hoffman stars James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey, Liana Liberato, Sebastian Arcelus and Gerald McRaney. The movie follows two former high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, when they return to their small town for the funeral of the beloved friend.
‘The Boxtrolls’ Soundtrack Preview
Audio clips of the soundtrack album for Laika Studios’ animated feature The Boxtrolls have been published. The film’s original music is composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Anna Karenina, V for Vendetta, Pride and Prejudice). Also included are the film’s songs, including The Boxtrolls Song written by Eric Idle and performed by Mark Orton (Nebraska) and Loch Lomond (feat. Sean Patrick Doyle). Rupert Gregson-Williams’ ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’ Score To Be Released
Lakeshore Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the British animated feature Postman Pat: The Movie. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hotel Rwanda, Over the Hedge, Click, Bee Movie, Winter’s Tale). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 23, 2014 and physically on October 21. Audio clips will be added to this article soon. Polydor has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the film’s songs, as well as a suite from Gregson-Williams’ score overseas earlier this year. Postman Pat: The Movie is directed by Mike Disa and features the voice talent of Ronan Keating, Rupert Grind, Stephen Mangan, Jim Broadbent, Kate Winslet and David Tennant. The movie based on the British TV series of the same title opened overseas this past May and in select U.S. theaters in June.
‘Beatles’ Soundtrack Released
A soundtrack album has been released for the Norwegian drama Beatles. The album features the film’s original score composed Magne Furuholmen who is best known as a member of the pop group a-ha. Also included are cover versions of the classic Beatles songs Come Together by Apparatjik (feat. Icona Pop & Erik Hassle) and Yesterday by Furuholmen hied by Peter Flinth is based on the bestselling novel by Lars Saabye Christensen and tells the story about four Norwegian youngsters growing up in the 60s and 70s, modeling themselves on their musical heroes: The Beatles. The drama starring Louis Williams, Håvard Jackwitz , Ole Nicolai Myrvold Jørgensen and Halvor Tangen Schultz opened in Norwegian theaters last month.
