Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, Verity, All Quiet on the Western Front, Clayface, Lion, Pressure, The Amateur, Adrift, The Day of the Jackal, Dune: Prophecy, The Uprising) has teamed up with Ben Winkler (Delicious, Etty, Every You Every Me) to score the new German Netflix original series The Trap (Die Falle). The show is created by Isabel Kleefeld (Dear Child) based on the novel by Melanie Raabe and stars Friederike Becht, Hans Löw, Matthias Brandt, Miriam Ohlmeyer, Malaya Takeda, Josephine Thiesen, Anna Schudt, Michael Klammer, Ursula Strauss and Sesede Terziyan. The 6-part psychological thriller follows a successful author who hasn’t left her house in nearly ten years, ever since she witnessed the murder of her sister, but when she believes she recognizes the killer on television, she sets out to trap him.

Special Edition Music will release the official soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller You Can’t Leave. The album features the film’s original music composed by Edwin Wendler (I Spit on Your Grave: Vengeance Is Mine, Mafia Wars, Tales of Halloween, Unnatural, DreamScapes, Dead Ant, Glowzies, Dragon Soldiers). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The show is directed by Philip Cairney (Being Beethoven) and follows a New Orleans cop who attempts to solve the mysterious murder of a pet cemetery owner and discovers an eerie and brutal past that still haunts the community. The 3-parter features new insights from the victim’s neighbors, law enforcement, local journalists, and scholars that unearth a labyrinthine tale involving multiple dead bodies, disturbing family secrets, and centuries-old massacres.
