Premiering on Tuesday, January 13, is the National Geographic original documentary series Pole to Pole with Will Smith produced by Westbrook Studios, Nutopia, and Protozoa. The show’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Twisters, It: Welcome to Derry, The Flash, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Mortal Kombat, Shazam!, Annabelle Creation) and Chris Egan (Fireheart, Tiny World). Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score on January 16. The 7-parter, which follows Smith as he joins seven extraordinary expeditions to discover the secrets of Earth’s most extreme environments, pushing his mental and physical resilience to the limits, will air Tuesdays on National Geographic and will also be available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, January 14 is the British TV series Riot Women created by Sally Wainwright and starring Joanna Scanlan, Craig, Tamsin Greig, Lorraine Ashbourne, Amelia Bullmore, Taj Atwal, Chandeep Uppal and Macy Seelochan. Ben Foster (Ridley, Torchwood, The Good Karma Hotel, Hidden Kingdoms, Thunderbirds Are Go!, Happy Valley, Scott & Bailey) has composed the show’s original score. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as two original songs written by punk duo ARXX‘s Hannah Pidduck & Clara Townsend last October when the drama premiered in the UK on BBC One.
