Diaphana Films & Menuet BV have released a soundtrack album for the Belgian drama Close. The album features the film’s original music composed by Valentin Hadjadj (Girl, April and the Extraordinary World , Under the Stars of Paris, A Bigger World, Rialto). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s main theme (Bliss) after the jump. Close is co-written and directed by Lukas Dhont and stars Eden Dambrine, Gustav De Waele, Émilie Dequenne and Léa Drucker. The movie revolves around two thirteen-year-old best friends whose seemingly unbreakable bond is suddenly and tragically torn apart. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prix prize and has been selected as Belgium’s entry for the International Feature Category at next year’s Academy Awards, will open in French and Belgian theaters next week and is set to be released in U.S. theaters later this year by A24.
