Sorting Room Studios has released a soundtrack album for the British folk horror feature The Severed Sun. The album features the film’s original music composed by Unknown Horrors (Brain Rays, James Forde Stewart & Thomas Michael Williams). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ title track below. The Severed Sun is written and directed by Dean Puckett and stars Emma Appleton, Toby Stephens, Jodhi May, Barney Harris, Lewis Gribben, Oliver Maltman and James Swanton. The movie is set in an isolated religious community and follows a woman who murders her abusive husband and unleashes turmoil on the community in the form of a literal beast hungry for the blood of evil men. The film premiered at last year’s Fantastic Fest and has just been released in select U.S. theaters and on VOD last Friday by Dark Sky Films.
