Will Bates (Unbelievable, The Magicians, The Path, Away, I Origins, The Looming Tower) has composed the original music for the upcoming British comedy The Estate. The film is written and directed by Dean Craig (Love Wedding Repeat, Death at a Funeral) and stars Toni Collette, Anna Faris, David Duchovny, Kathleen Turner, Rosemarie DeWitt and Ron Livingston. The movie follows two sisters who plot to win the inheritance of their cantankerous, terminally ill aunt, but find other relatives have equally devious designs on the family fortune. Marc Goldberg (Final Score, The Courier), Sarah Gabriel (Bull) and Sarah Jessica Parker & Alison Benson (Here and Now) are producing the Signature Entertainment and Capstone Studios production. The Estate will premiere next month at the BFI London Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2022.
Bates’ recent projects also include the Netflix limited series Devil in Ohio, which just premiered earlier this month, as well as Peter Berg’s untitled Rihanna documentary, which is currently awaiting a release date.
