Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi epic Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Javier Bardem. Also opening nationwide is the animated feature Ron’s Gone Wrong directed by Sarah Smith & Jean-Philippe Vine and starring Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Justice Smith, Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Ricardo Hurtado, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Marcus Scribner and Thomas Barbusca. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu) has composed the film’s original score. Opening in select theaters today before expanding nationwide next week is the comedy drama The French Dispatch written and directed by Wes Anderson and starring Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Léa Seydoux, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Bill Murray, Stephen Park and Owen Wilson.The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel The Queen, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). Also opening in select theaters before premiering on Disney+ later this year is the documentary Becoming Cousteau directed by Liz Garbus about the world’s most famous ocean explorer, Jacques Cousteau. Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Boy Erased,The White Tiger, The Gift, The Devil All the Time, Enemy) have composed the film’s original music. Opening in select theaters today before premiering on Netflix on November 5 is the western The Harder They Fall directed by Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts) and starring Jonathan Majors, Zazie Beetz, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield, Regina King, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, R.J. Cyler, Deon Cole, Damon Wayans Jr. and Idris Elba. Samuel has also composed the film’s original score and also co-wrote original songs, including Guns Go Bang (with Scott Mescudi & Shawn Carter) and performed by Kid Cudi & JAY-Z. Roc Nation Records has released Samuel‘s remix of Barrington Levy‘s Here I Come (as featured in the movie’s first teaser trailer) earlier this year.
