Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide today:

Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Jungle Cruise directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez, Jesse Plemons, Jack Whitehall and Paul Giamatti. The film’s original music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King KongMaleficent, The Sixth SenseFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Fugitive, The Village). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the fantasy adventure The Green Knight written and directed by David Lowery and starring Dev Patel, Joel Edgerton, Alicia Vikander,Sean Harris, Sarita Choudhury, Barry Keoghan, Kate Dickie and Ralph Ineson. Daniel Hart (A Ghost Story, Pete’s Dragon, The Old Man and the GunAin’t Them Bodies Saints, Strange Angel) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the crime drama Stillwater co-written and directed by Tom McCarthy and starring Matt Damon, Camille Cottin, Abigail Breslin, Lilou Siauvaud, Idir Azougli, Deanna Dunagan and Anne Le Ny. The film’s original music is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of PiMoneyballCapoteOnward, Little Miss Sunshine, The Good DinosaurGirl, Interrupted). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in New York and Los Angeles before expanding to other markets over the next weeks is the drama Nine Days written and directed by Edson Oda and starring Winston Duke, Zazie Beetz, Benedict Wong, Tony Hale, David Rysdahl, Bill Skarsgård and Arianna Ortiz. Antonio Pinto (City of GodMcFarland, USA,  Lord of War, The Mosquito Coast, SennaThe Boy Who Harnessed the WindAmy) has composed the film’s original music. Warner Classics has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s earlier this month. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the indie drama Lorelei written and directed by Sabrina Doyle and starring Jena Malone, Pablo Schreiber, Amelia Borgerding, Chancellor Perry and Parker Pascoe-Sheppard. The film’s original music is composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, The Night Of, Legion, The Umbrella Academy, Lucy in the Sky). No word on a soundtrack release. Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller Masquerade written and directed by Shane Dax Taylor and starring Bella Thorne, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Austin Nichols, Mircea Monroe and Skyler Samuels. Ben Lovett (The Signal, The Night House, The RitualSynchronicityThe WindBlack Rock) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Another movie opening in select theaters and on  VOD today is the comedy The Exchange directed by Dan Mazer and starring Ed Oxenbould, Avan Jogia, Justin Hartley, Paul Braunstein, Jennifer Irwin and Jayli Wolf. The film’s original music is composed by Electric Wave Bureau’s Michael Smith (The Kid Who Would Be KingBroken) and Christoph Bauschinger (Brassic). Music.Film Recordings & Lakeshore Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Opening in select U.S. theaters and on VOD today is the British crime drama Twist directed by Martin Owen and starring Michael Caine, Lena Headey, Rita Ora, Raff Law, Jason Maza, Franz Drameh, David Walliams and Sophie Simnett. Neil Athale (Strange But True, WastelandGolden YearsIn a DayGloves Off) has composed the film’s original music.  MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie premiered in the UK on Sky Cinema. Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the comedy Ride the Eagle directed by Trent O’Donnell and starring Jake Johnson, D’Arcy Carden, J.K. Simmons, Susan Sarandon, Luis Fernandez-Gil and Cleo King. The film’s original score is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Turner & Hooch,  CSI: Miami, Step Up All InJust Friends). Fallout Shelter Recordings has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Opening in select theaters today before premiering next Friday, August 6 on Netflix is the animated feature Vivo directed by Kirk DeMicco and starring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Simo, Zoe Saldana, Juan de Marcos, Brian Tyree Henry, Gloria Estefan, Michael Rooker and Nicole Byer. Miranda has also written the film’s original songs and Alex Lacamoire has composed the original score. Atlantic Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie next Friday.
