‘Amrum’ Soundtrack Released

Electronic music producer Hainbach has released a soundtrack album for the German historical coming-of-age- drama Amrum. The album features the artist’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Bandcamp, where you can also check out the track list. The title track has also just been released on all major digital music services (including Amazon) and can also be checked out after the jump. Amrum is co-written and directed by Fatih Akin and stars Jasper Billerbeck, Laura Tonke, Lisa Hagmeister, Kian Köppke and Diane Kruger. The movie follows a 12-year-old boy as he unravels a family secret in the final weeks of World War II on the titular secluded island, where the inhabitants feel the effects of the conflict but are far from the frontline, with little idea of what is going on. Dickon Hinchliffe (The Lost Daughter, Winter’s BoneLeave No TraceOut of the Furnace, Locke,Last Chance HarveyDaddio) is the composer of the new BBC drama Prisoner 951. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (This City Is Ours, The Last Kingdom) based on the book A Yard of Sky written by Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe & Richard Ratcliffe and stars Narges Rashidi and Joseph Fiennes. The 4-part drama directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (H Is for Hawk, Swallows and Amazons tells the true story of Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian citizen who was imprisoned and held hostage by the Iranian state for six years, and her husband Richard who campaigned for justice and her return. Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British/French drama The Great Escaper directed by Oliver Parker and starring Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson and John Standing. The film’s original music is composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!Love ActuallyRomeo + Juliet, The Incredible Hulk, The Great Gatsby, The Bone Collector, Far from the Madding Crowd, Ray, World Trade Center). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2023 when the movie opened in UK theaters. Premiering on Wednesday, November 26, is the Netflix original film Jingle Bell Heist directed by Michael Fimognari and starring Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Peter Serafinowicz, Lucy Punch,  Natasha Joseph, Poppy Drayton and Michael Salami. Composer, producer, arranger, DJ, singer/songwriter and pianist Steve Hackman (Radiohead x Brahms, Beethoven x Beyonce) has composed the movie’s original music. Walt Disney Records has released the original song Where Would We Be Without Magee? from the Disney Channel animated holiday special Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol. The track written by the Disney Television Animation production’s composer Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Schmigadoon!, The Personal History of David Copperfield) and Elyssa Samsel & Kate Anderson (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Central Park) and performed by Sarah Chalke (who stars as Magee) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the movie musical Wicked: For Good directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slate and Bowen Yang. The film’s original score is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your DragonThe Bourne Identity, Shrek, Happy Feet,  Solo: A Star Wars StoryDon’t Worry Darling, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Stephen Schwartz (The Prince of EgyptPocahontasPippin). Republic Records & Verve Label Group have released a soundtrack album featuring the Schwartz-penned songs (including two new original tracks) from the movie today (click here for the full album details) and will release a separate album featuring Powell’s & Schwartz’s score on December 5 (click here for the album details and to learn more about the Universal Pictures release).

Also opening wide is the comedy drama Rental Family co-written and directed by Hikari and starring Brendan Fraser, Takehiro Hira, Akira Emoto, Mari Yamamoto and Shannon Mahina Gorman. Sigur Rós lead singer Jónsi (We Bought a Zoo, Aloha, Without Remorse) and Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Nickel Boys, Honey BoyCauseway, Holland, Together, TogetherDawson City: Frozen Time) have composed the film’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Navid Hejazi (100 Days to Live, The Takedown, The Girl in the Backseat, The Breakdown) has released a soundtrack album for the holiday action comedy Dashing Through the Snow. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream on Spotify and will also be available on other major digital music platforms in the coming days. Also listen to Hejazi’s opening titles track after the jump. Dashing Through the Snow is directed by Prince Bagdasarian and stars Scottie Thompson, David Koechner, Gillian White, Isaiah Washington, James DiGiacomo and Hunter Ives. Milan Records has released the cover version of the song Americanos from Edgar Wright’s sci-fi action thriller The Running Man. The track (originally written by Holly Johnson) is produced (with Jason Mater & Stefan Litrownik) and performed by Leslie Powell and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Republic Records Kids & Family has released a soundtrack album for the Nickelodeon original animated movie A Loud House Christmas Movie: Naughty or Nice. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jonathan Hylander (The Casagrandes) who previously scored the last couple of seasons of The Loud House animated series and last year’s No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks after the jump. A Loud House Christmas Movie: Naughty or Nice is directed by Darin McGowan and follows Lincoln Loud as he accidentally reverses the entire world’s Naughty/Nice lists when he hacks into the North Pole computer in an effort to get off Santa’s Naughty List and now must venture to the North Pole on a mission to save Christmas. Milan Records has released two songs from the fourth episode (entitled Please, Carol) of the Apple TV original series Pluribus. Available to stream/download now are the tracks Sumac written, produced and performed by Mexican producer and DJ Loris, as well as Vessel (Pluribus Edit) by UK composer John Lemke. Also listen to both songs after the jump.
