alexander-and-the-terrible-dayChristophe Beck has signed on to score the upcoming family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The movie is directed by Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl, Youth in Revolt) and stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Dylan Minnette, Ed Oxenbould, Megan Mulally, Jennifer Coolidge and Bella Thorne. The movie is based on the 1972 illustrated children’s classic by Judith Viorst and follows a boy who has a very horrible day and finds out that other people can have them too. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is set to released on October 10, 2014 by Walt Disney Pictures.

As previously reported, Beck also has Doug Liman’s Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt coming up. The composer’s recent projects include Disney’s Frozen and Muppets Most Wanted, both of which are currently playing in theaters.
