Stephen Warbeck has recently composed the music for the upcoming French romantic drama Mon Roi. The film is directed by Maïwenn and stars Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot and Louis Garell. The movie follows a woman healing from a passionate but self-destructive love story. Maïwenn is directing the film and also co-wrote the screenplay with Etienne Comar (Of Gods and Men, Haute Cuisine). Alain Attal (Tell No One, The Concert, Little White Lies) is producing the project. Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliot) and Maïwenn have previously collaborated on 2011’s Polisse.

‘Yellowbird’ Soundtrack Details
22D Music will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Yellowbird (Gus: Petit oiseau, grand voyage). The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliott, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). Also included are songs by 20syl, Gogol Bordello and Mathilda Homer. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 22, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Yellowbird is directed by Christian De Vita and features the voices of Seth Green, Dakota Fanning, Danny Glover, Jim Rash, Elliott Gould and Christine Baranski. The movie follows an orphan young bird who has never left the nest and is given the responsibility by the elder of the flock to lead a whole family of birds on migration to Africa.
Stephen Warbeck Scoring ‘Indian Summers’
Stephen Warbeck is composing the music for PBS’ and Channel 4’s upcoming mini-series Indian Summers. The epic drama is created and written by Paul Rutman (Vera) and stars Julie Walters, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Jemima West, Nikesh Patel, Roshan Seth, Lillete Dubey, Alexander Cobb, Craig Parkinson, Fiona Glascott, Amber Rose Revah, Aysha Kala, Olivia Grant and Edward Hogg. The 10-parter directed by Anand Tucker (Hilary and Jackie, Shopgirl, Leap Year) tells the story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India, from both sides of the experience. Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) is executive producing the project with Charlie Pattinson (Shameless, Skins), Elaine Pyke (Strike Back) and Rebecca Eato.
Stephen Warbeck to Score ‘The Forger’
Stephen Warbeck has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Forger. The film is directed by Philip Martin (Wallander) and stars John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, Tye Sheridan, Jennifer Ehle, Anson Mount, Abigail Spencer and Marcus Thomas. The movie follows a second-generation petty thief who arranges to buy his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son and reteams with his father to carry out one last big job for the syndicate. Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds) has written the screenplay. Al Corley & Bart Rosenblatt (You Kill Me, Drowning Mona) are producing the project for Coce Entertainment, alongsid Lisa Wilson & Myles Nestel (Laggies) for Solution Entertainment Group and Rob Carliner (Crazy Heart, The Apostle).

‘La Marche’ Soundtrack Details
Hamburger Records will release a soundtrack album for the French comedy La Marche. The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills). Also included are the songs from the film by such artists as The Mamas & The Papas, Punkin Machine, Suicide and Charles Trenet. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 25, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. La Marche directed by Nabil Ben Yadir and stars Jamel Debbouze, Olivier Gourmet, Hafsia Herzi and Lubna Azabal. The movie is inspired by the events during the “Marche des Beurs” that swept through France in December 1983 to protest against inequality and discrimination in the country.

Premiering tomorrow, September 16, on Fox is the new mystery adventure drama Sleepy Hollow created by Alex Kurtzman & Bob Orci (Star Trek, Transformers), Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) & Phillip Iscove and starring Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones, John Cho and Katia Winter. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast Five, Now You See Me) is composing the score for the series, which is based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow and follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s Detective Abbie Archer to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Stephen Warbeck to Score ‘Keeping Rosy’
Stephen Warbeck is scoring the upcoming psychological thriller Keeping Rosy. The film marks the directorial feature debut of commercials director Steve Reeves and stars Maxine Peake, Blake Harrison and Christine Bottomley. The movie follows a female advertising executive whose life disintegrates after a series of unfortunate events. Reeves has co-written the screenplay with Mike Oughton. Richard Holmes (Waking Ned Devine, Eden Lake, Resistance) and Isabelle Georgeaux are producing the Air Productions and Redemption Films production. Warbeck has previously scored the British comedy Jadoo for the producers. Keeping Rosy is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2014.
‘It Happened in St. Tropez’ Soundtrack Released
Pathé Production has released a soundtrack album for the French romantic comedy It Happened in St. Tropez (Des gens qui s’embrassent). The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills). Also included are several other songs and classical pieces featured in the movie, including Frank Sinatra’s It Happened in Monterey. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked after the jump. It Happened in St. Tropez is written and directed by Danièle Thompson and stars Kad Merad, Monica Bellucci, Eric Elmosnino, Valérie Bonneton, Max Boublil, Lou de Laâge, Clara Ponsot abd Ivry Gitlis. The movie opened in France earlier this month. No word yet on domestic distribution.
Stephen Warbeck Scoring ‘Jadoo’
Stephen Warbeck has recently recorded his score for the British comedy Jadoo. The film is written and directed by Amit Gupta and stars Amara Karan, Harish Patel, Kulvinder Ghir and Tom Mison. The movie follows two brothers and chefs who fell out with each other and are running rival restaurants on opposite sides of the same road and a daughter who is planning her marriage and is determined that they will both attend. Richard Holmes (Waking Ned Devine), Amanda Faber, Isebelle Georgeaux who previously worked with Gupta on last year’s Resistance are producing for AIR Productions and Nikki Parrott is producing for Tigerlily Films. Academy Award-winning cinematographer Roger Pratt (Batman, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) is also involved in the project and Eddie Hamilton (X-Men: First Class) is editing the picture. Warbeck’s music was recorded last week at Air Studios in London.
