ENKA will release a soundtrack album for the French post-apocalyptic thriller Survive (Survivre). The album features the film’s original music composed by Nicolas Errèra (Hidden Man, Raging Fire, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Shaolin, Adoring, The Serpent’s Path, Mountain Cry). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 19 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The movie revolves around a woman battling for survival after a sailing trips takes a terrifying turn when a tragic polarity reversal drains the water from the oceans and – together with her children – finds herself in an inhospitable land inhabited by hungry creatures from the abyss.

Marvel’s ‘Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ Soundtrack Album Released
Walt Disney Records has released the first full soundtrack album for the Disney Junior animated series Spidey and His Amazing Friends. The album features eleven tracks written and performed by Grammy Award-nominated musician Patrick Stump (of the rock band Fall Out Boy) who serves as songwriter and composer on the hit series, including two new original songs (Happy Spidey Birthday & Swing and Smash), as well as four previously unreleased demos written and performed by Stump, plus the track Do the Spidey. The Serpent’s Path is co-written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and stars Damien Bonnard, Shibasaki Ko, Mathieu Almaric and Grégoire Colin. The movie is based on Kurosawa’s 1998 Japanese feature of the same title and follows a mysterious woman who teams up with a man who is seeking revenge after his daughter was killed to kidnap members of an criminal organization and torture them to find out what really happened.

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1971 Italian thriller The Fifth Cord (Giornata nera per l’ariete) co-written and directed by Luigi Bazzoni and starring Franco Nero, Silvia Monti, Edmund Purdon, Princess Ira Von Fürstenberg, Pamela Tiffin and Agostina Belli. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Untouchables, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight), including previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 500 copies and includes the complete score on the first disc and the remastered original soundtrack album, as well as alternate tracks on the second disc, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.

La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1974 crime drama The Sugarland Express directed by Steven Spielberg (who made his theatrical feature directorial debut on the project) and starring Goldie Hawn, Ben Johnson, William Atherton and Michael Sacks. The album, which is being released released as part of the Universal Studios Film Music Classics Collection, features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Catch Me If You Can, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The CD, which is limited to 5,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. A vinyl edition is also in the works.
