Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack EP for the Spanish/French epic drama La Bola Negra. The 7-track EP features selections of the film’s original score composed by Raül Refree (Bad Beast, Between Two Waters, One Year, One Night). Also included is the original song La Nieve co-written (with Refree) and performed by Guitarricadelafuente, as well as additional original songs performed by Penélope Cruz and Maria Terremoto. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. The label has previously released an EP featuring the song and six score tracks earlier this month. La Bola Negra is co-written and directed by Javier Calvo & Javier Ambrossi and stars Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González, Milo Quifes, Cruz, Lola Dueñas and Glenn Close.

Nickelodeon & Republic Records have released the full soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Hollywood Arts. The album features the songs from the show written by series composers Niki Hexum & Zack Hexum, co-creator Samantha Martin, among others, and performed by cast member Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Daniella Monet, Erika Swayze, Peyton Jackson, Martin Kamm & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Two first tracks (Here to Stay performed by Miles and Born for This performed by Miles, Liu-Wang, Swayze, Kamm & Jackson) have previously been released as digital singles last month. The movie is written and directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong, Endless Love) and stars Jessica Chastain, Garrett Hedlund, Carter Faith, John Hawkes, Paul Sparks, Ross Lynch, Norbert Leo Butz, Hill Harper and Wynn Everett. The thriller follows follows a former country megastar who comes out of seclusion to investigate the disappearance of her missing niece, a rising country musician, and must grapple with her own past and Nashville’s seedy underbelly.
Volker Bertelmann & Ben Winkler Scoring Netflix’s ‘The Trap’ (‘Die Falle’)
Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, Verity, All Quiet on the Western Front, Clayface, Lion, Pressure, The Amateur, Adrift, The Day of the Jackal, Dune: Prophecy, The Uprising) has teamed up with Ben Winkler (Delicious, Etty, Every You Every Me) to score the new German Netflix original series The Trap (Die Falle). The show is created by Isabel Kleefeld (Dear Child) based on the novel by Melanie Raabe and stars Friederike Becht, Hans Löw, Matthias Brandt, Miriam Ohlmeyer, Malaya Takeda, Josephine Thiesen, Anna Schudt, Michael Klammer, Ursula Strauss and Sesede Terziyan. The 6-part psychological thriller follows a successful author who hasn’t left her house in nearly ten years, ever since she witnessed the murder of her sister, but when she believes she recognizes the killer on television, she sets out to trap him.

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (Soul, Watchmen, Challengers, Bones and All, TRON: Ares, Queer) are reteaming with director David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club) on the upcoming Netflix original film The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The movie is directed by Fincher, written by Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards) based on characters from his 2019 feature Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and stars Brad Pitt who reprises his role as Cliff Booth, for which he received his second Academy Award.
