Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British/French drama The Great Escaper directed by Oliver Parker and starring Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson and John Standing. The film’s original music is composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Love Actually, Romeo + Juliet, The Incredible Hulk, The Great Gatsby, The Bone Collector, Far from the Madding Crowd, Ray, World Trade Center). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2023 when the movie opened in UK theaters. Premiering on Wednesday, November 26, is the Netflix original film Jingle Bell Heist directed by Michael Fimognari and starring Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Peter Serafinowicz, Lucy Punch,  Natasha Joseph, Poppy Drayton and Michael Salami. Composer, producer, arranger, DJ, singer/songwriter and pianist Steve Hackman (Radiohead x Brahms, Beethoven x Beyonce) has composed the movie’s original music. ‘Last Samurai Standing’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese Netflix original series Last Samurai Standing. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Takashi Ohmama (Asakus Kid, Star Wars Visions: Yuko’s Treasure). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Last Samurai Standing is based on the novel of the same title written by Shogo Imamura and stars Junichi Okada, Yumia Fujisaki, Kaya Kiyohara,Masahiro Higashide, Shota Sometani, Taichi Saotome, Kairi Jo, Yuya Endo, Taiiku Okazaki and Yasushi Fuchikami. The action drama, tells the story of a man once known as an undefeated samurai who decides to participate in a deadly survival game to save his family and villagers.

Steve Hackman Scoring Michael Fimognari’s ‘Jingle Bell Heist’

Composer, conductor, producer, DJ, arranger, singer/songwriter and pianist Steve Hackman is making his feature scoring debut on the new Netflix original film Jingle Bell Heist. The movie is directed by Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You & Always and Forever) and stars Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, Poppy Drayton, Natasha Joseph and Michael Salami. The romantic comedy follows a sharp-witted retail worker and a down-on-his-luck repairman who team up to rob a posh London department store on Christmas Eve.

‘The Thursday Murder Club’ Soundtrack CD Release Announced

Intrada Records has announced a CD release of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original film The Thursday Murder Club. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, 1917, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo, Skyfall, Wall-E, Bridge of Spies) and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can find out more about the release. Netflix Music has previously released the original digital soundtrack album back in August. Also available for pre-order now is a vinyl edition (to be released on December 5 by Music on Vinyl) of the album. The Thursday Murder Club based on Richard Osman’s bestselling novel of the same title is co-written and directed by Chris Columbus and stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Naomi Ackie, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, Daniel Mays,  Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce and Paul Freeman.

‘The White House Effect’ Soundtrack Album Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Ariel Marx (Dying for Sex, Shiva Baby, The Last Frontier, Sanctuary, Candy, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, A Friend of the Family, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,A Small Light, The Tale). The White House Effect is directed by Bonni Cohen, Pedro Kos & Jon Shenk and tells the dramatic origin story of the climate crisis and how a political battle in the George H.W. Premiering tonight is the PBS documentary series The American Revolution directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein & David Schmidt about the country’s founding struggle and its eight-year War for Independence. In a Circle Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the music from the show, including period and newly composed pieces for the project featuring performances by Jake Blount, Rhiannon Giddens, Brooklyn Rider, Hanneke Cassel, Nora Brown & Steph Coleman, Jennifer Kreisberg and Yo-Yo Ma, last week. Premiering on Wednesday, November 19, is the Netflix original film Champagne Problems written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson and starring Minka Kelly, Tom Wozniczka, Thibault de Montalembert, Sean Amsing, Flula Borg, Xavier Samuel and Astrid Whettnall. Ryan Shore (Prime, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, Love, Guaranteed, The Shrine, Bride Hard, Love in the Villa, Harvard Man) has composed the movie’s original music. ‘Mrs Playmen’ Soundtrack Album Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Italian Netflix limited series Mrs Playmen. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Santi Pulvirenti (The Last Night of Amore, The Mafia Only Kills in Summer, Still Life, Bang Bang Baby). Mrs Playmen is directed by Riccardo Donna, developed by head writer Mario Ruggeri and stars Carolina Crescentini, Filippo Nigro, Giuseppe Maggio, Francesco Colella, Francesca Colucci, Domenico Diele, Giampiero Judica, Cecilia Dazzi, Marco Rossetti and Lidia Vitale. The 7-part drama inspired by true events tells the story of a woman – betrayed by her husband – who must step up and run an erotic magazine that becomes a symbol of empowerment in ’70s Rome.

‘In Your Dreams’ Soundtrack Album Details

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated film In Your Dreams. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book, Elf, Hocus Pocus, Liar Liar, Horizon: An American Saga, The Emperor’s New Groove). Also included are the songs from the film, including the original tracks The Holding On and the Letting Go written by Daniel Blake and performed by voice cast members Simu Liu & Cristin Milioti and Sleep2Dream written by Gigi Shabestari & Ryan Raines and performed by ggwendolyn, as well as covers of Don’t Cha & Mister Sandman produced by Alana Da Fonseca. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 14 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump (Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Merry Little Batman, Gnome Alone, Sick Girl,  Black Friday, Changeland) has composed the show’s original music. Callery has written the theme and co-scored the show created by Gabe Rotter and starring Claire Danes, Matthew Rhys, Natalie Morales, Brittany Snow, Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deirdre O’Connell and Aleyse Shannon. The 8-part thriller revolves around a famous author who is pulled into a twisted mind game with her rich, powerful new neighbor who might be a murderer.
