Jerry Goldsmith to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced today that Jerry Goldsmith is among the class of 2017 honorees and was selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The composer who passed away in 2004 has received an Academy Award for The Omen and was Oscar-nominated several more times for such classic films as Planet of the Apes, Patton Chinatown, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Poltergeist, Basic Instinct and L.A. Confidential. He was also honored with numerous Emmy Awards.
