Kickout Films has released a soundtrack album for the Italian/Spanish romantic drama Three Goodbyes (Tre ciotole). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alfonso de Vilallonga (Robot Dreams, Transsiberian, The Bookshop, Blancanieves,Abracadabra, It Snows in Benidorm). Three Goodbyes is co-written and directed by Isabel Coixet and stars Alba Rohrwacher, Elio Germano, Silvia D’Amico, Francesco Carril, Galatea Bellugi and Sarita Choudhury. The movie based on the bestselling novel by Michela Murgia revolves around a Roman high school teacher and her partner, a rising chef, whose long-term relationship ends abruptly after a seemingly trivial argument.

‘It Snows in Benidorm’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller It Snows in Benidorm (Nieva en Benidorm). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alfonso de Vilallonga (Blancanieves, The Bookshop, Transsiberian, Princesas, Abracadabra). It Snows in Benidorm is written and directed by Isabel Coixet and stars Timothy Spall, Sarita Clouhdury, Carmen Machi and Ana Torrent. The movie produced by Pedro Almodóvar follows a quiet British middle aged man who decides to visit his brother who lives in Benidorm and discovers that he has disappeared.
‘The Bookshop’ Soundtrack Announced
A soundtrack album will be released for Isabel Coixet’s drama The Bookshop. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alfonso de Vilallonga (Snow White, Transsiberian) who previously scored the director’s My Life Without Me. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 10, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Bookshop is written and directed by Coixet (The Secret Life of Words, Elegy) and stars Emily Mortimer, Bill Nighy and Patricia Clarkson. The movie based on Penelope Fitzgerald’s novel is set in England in 1959 in a small East Anglian town and follows a woman who decides, against polite but ruthless local opposition, to open a bookshop.
‘Spain in a Day’ Soundtrack Announced
Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack release for the documentary Spain in a Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Kite Runner, Volver, The Constant Gardener, The Skin I Live In). The soundtrack will be released on September 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Quartet’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Spain in a Day directed by Isabel Coixet (Learning to Drive, Elegy, The Secret Life of Words) is based on Ridley Scott’s Life in a Day and is collective project using social media that sees everyday Spaniards contribute short clips from their lives all shot on the same day, October 24, 2015.
Lucas Vidal to Score Isabel Coixet’s ‘Nobody Wants the Night’
Lucas Vidal has been hired to score the upcoming drama Nobody Wants the Night. The film is directed by Isabel Coixet (Elegy, The Secret Life of Words, My Life Without Me) and stars Juliette Binoche, Rinko Kikuchi and Gabriel Byrne. The movie follows two women from two different worlds who are struggling to survive in one of the most inhospitable places on Earth in early 1900s Greenland and chronicles their long, tense wait for the same man they love. Miguel Barros (Blackthorn) has written the screenplay. Andrés Santana (Blackthorn) is producing the project with Antonia Nava (The Machinist, Transsiberia) for Aiete-Ariane Films.
‘Learning to Drive’ to Feature Music by Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks
Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks are composing the score for the upcoming indie drama Learning to Drive. The film directed by Isabel Coixet (Elegy, The Secret Life of Words) and stars Ben Kingsley & Patricia Clarkson. The movie follows a Manhattan writer who finds solace in her biweekly lessons with a Sikh driving instructor after her husband leaves her. Sarah Kernochan (Sommersby, Nine 1/2 Weeks) has written the screenplay based on Katha Pollitt’s 2002 essay for The New Yorker. Dana Friedman and Daniel Hammond are producing the Broad Green Pictures production. Academy Award winner Thelma Schoonmaker (The Departed, The Aviator, Raging Bull) serves as the film’s editor.
