The film’s music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Counselor, Gold). Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action sequel Resident Evil: The Final Chapter written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James and Rola. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire, The Three Musketeers, Fear the Walking Dead). ‘Gold’ Score Album to Be Released
BMG will release the official score album for the adventure drama Gold. The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur, The Counselor). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 27. The download link will be added to this article within the next day. As reported earlier this week, Varese Sarabande will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, including the original track Gold co-written by Pemberton and performed by Iggy Pop. Gold is directed by Stephen Gaghan and stars Matthew McConaughey, Bryce Dallas Howard, Edgar Ramirez, Bruce Greenwood, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell and Stacy Keach.
Daniel Pemberton Scoring Peter Landesman’s ‘Felt’
Daniel Pemberton is currently scoring the upcoming political thriller Felt. The film is written and directed by Peter Landesman (Concussion, Parkland) and stars Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Tony Goldwyn, Josh Lucas, Michael C. Hall, Marton Csokas, Tom Sizemore, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ike Barinholtz, Bruce Greenwood, Brian D’Arcy James, Noah Wyle, Maika Monroe, Colm Meaney and Eddie Marsan. The movie tells the story of Mark Felt, who under the name “Deep Throat” helped journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein uncover the Watergate scandal in 1974.
Iggy Pop’s ‘Gold’ Title Song Released
Varese Sarabande has released the Golden Globe-nominatd original title song for Stephen Gaghan’s drama Gold. The track is performed by Iggy Pop who also co-wrote the the song with Gaghan, Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) and the film’s composer Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). Stephen Gaghan’s ‘Gold’ to Feature Original Song by Iggy Pop
Iggy Pop has recorded an original song for Stephen Gaghan’s drama Gold. The track, entitled Gold, is co-written by the singer/songwriter, the film’s composer Daniel Pemberton (who also uses elements from the song in his score), Gaghan and Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse). The track plays over the movie’s end credits. Gold starring Matthew McConaughey, Bryce Dallas Howard, Edgar Ramirez, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach follows a modern-day prospector desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a similarly eager geologist and sets off to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia.
‘From the Land of the Moon’ Soundtrack Announced
A soundtrack album will be released for the French/Belgian drama From the Land of the Moon (Mal de pierres). The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Counselor, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). The soundtrack is set to be overseas on October 21, 2016. From the Land of the Moon is directed by Nicole Garcia and stars Marion Cotillard, Louis Garrel, Alex Brendemühl, Brigitte Rouan, Victoire Du Bois, Aloïse Sauvage and Daniel Para. The movie is based on the novel by Milena Agu and revolves around a woman in post-World War II Europe who’s torn between the man she’s meant to marry and a charming war veteran.
