‘Armageddon Time’ Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for James Gray’s drama Armageddon Time. The album features the film’s original score composed by Christopher Spelman (The Lost City of Z, The Immigrant). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 4 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Armageddon Time is written and directed by Gray and stars Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Strong, Banks Repeta, Jaylin Webb, Anthony Hopkins, Tovah Feldshuh and Ryan Sell. The movie is inspired by the director’s life in a pre-Reagan America in Queens, New York and tells a story of the strength of family and the generational pursuit of happiness.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Prey for the Devil directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Virginia Madsen, Nicholas Ralph, Lisa Palfrey and Ben Cross. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Americans, Hollywood, Hemlock Grove, Cabin Fever). Also opening wide is the drama Call Jane directed by Phyllis Nagy and starring Elizabeth Banks, Sigourney Weaver, Chris Messina, Kate Mara, Wunmi Mosaku, Cory Michael Smith, John Magaro and Grace Edwards. Isabella Summers (of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Physical, The Offer, Sex/Life) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. In addition to the nationwide expansion of Gifted, the only nationwide release this week is the action sequel The Fate of the Furious directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Timeless, The Unit, Terriers) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album is in the works and will be announced soon. Spark is inspired the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West and follows a teenage monkey who leads a space expedition to save the planet from a cruel dictator.

The Lost City of Z is written and directed by James Gray and stars Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, Tom Holland and Angus Macfadyen. The movie is based on David Grann’s nonfiction bestseller of the same name and tells the true story of a British explorer who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region.

Percival Fawcett who disappeared while searching for a mysterious city in the Amazon in the 1920s.
