Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the Channel 4 mini-series Deceit. The album features the show’s original music composed by Marc Canham (I Care a Lot, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, Close, Final Girl). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Deceit is written by Emilia di Girolamo, directed by Niall MacCormick and stars Niamh Algar, Eddie Marsan, Harry Treadaway, Rochenda Sandall, Sion Daniel Young and Nathaniel Martello-White. The 4-part drama is based on the true story of a controversial honeytrap at the heart of the 1992 police investigation into the murder of a young mother in London.

‘We Are Lady Parts’ Soundtrack EP Released
Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP for the Channel 4 & Peacock original series We Are Lady Parts. The EP features six songs from the show performed by the titular band Lady Parts, including four original tracks written by show creator Nida Manzoor, Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor and Benjamin Fregin, as well the cover versions of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 and Queens’ We Are the Champions. Murray Gold is the composer of the new Channel 4 & HBO Max limited series It’s a Sin. The show is created by Russell T. Davies and stars Olly Alexander, Omari Douglas, Callum Scott Howell, Keeley Hawes, Stephen Fry, Neil Patrick Harris, Tracy Ann Oberman, Shaun Dooley, Nathaniel Curtis and Lydia West. The 5-part drama explores friendship and love during the 1980s AIDS crisis through the eyes of three young gay men as they embark on a new life in London.

Natalie Holt Scoring Channel 4’s ‘Deadwater Fell’
Natalie Holt (Journey’s End, The Honourable Woman, Knightfall, Beecham House) has composed the original music for the new Channel 4 original series Deadwater Fell. The show is created by Daisy Coulam (Grantchester) and stars David Tennant, Cush Jumbo, Anna Madeley and Matthew McNulty. The 4-part thriller centers on two families in the aftermath of a tragedy that claims the lives of a woman and her three children. Lynsey Miller (The Boy with the Topknot, Eve) is directing the project, which is executive produced by Coulam, Tennant, Emma Kingsman-Lloyd (Humans, Grantchester) and Karen Wilson (Utopia, The Tunnel).
David Arnold Scoring Channel 4’s ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’
David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies) has announced that he is composing the music for the upcoming Channel 4 animated holiday special The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The composer also co-wrote the original song Hey Tiger! with Don Black that will be performed by Robbie Williams. The animated short is directed by Robin Shaw (We’re Going on a Bear Hunt) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Clara Ross, Tamsin Grieg, David Walliams and Paul Whitehouse.

H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Cartel Land, Birth of the Dragon) is scoring the upcoming Channel 4 series Baghdad Central. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom, The Child in Time) based on the novel of the same title by Elliot Cola and stars Waleed Zuaiter, Bertie Carvel, Clara Khoury, Leem Lubany, July Namir, Neil Maskell and Corey Stoll. The 6-part crime thriller is set in 2003 Baghdad after Saddam Hussain has fallen and the Coalition forces want to secure the country and centers on a group of ordinary occupied Iraqi citizens.

Daniel Pemberton Scoring HBO’s ‘Brexit’
Daniel Pemberton has announced that he has composed the original score for the upcoming HBO original movie Brexit. The film is directed by Toby Haynes and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Dominic Cummings, who spearheaded the Vote Leave campaign and Rory Kinnear as Craig Oliver, Prime Minister David Cameron’s director of communications and head of the Remain campaign. The drama goes behind the scenes, revealing the personalities, strategies and feuds of the Leave and Remain campaigns. James Graham (A Brilliant Young Mind) wrote the script and is also executive producing the HBO Films, BBC Studios and Channel 4 production with Juliette Howell (London Spy) and Tessa Ross.
