Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 fantasy drama A Little Princess directed by Alfonso Cuarón and starring Eleanor Bron, Liam Cunningham, Liesel Matthews, Vanessa Lee Chester, Arthur Malet, Rusty Schwimmer and Errol Sitahal. The deluxe edition album features the film’s expanded original score composed by Academy Award nominee Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Sense and Sensibility, Cinderella, Thor, Brave, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Murder on the Orient Express, Henry V, Carlito’s Way, Gosford Park), including previously unreleased music. The full details of the soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ limited series Disclaimer have been revealed. Finneas O’Connell Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Disclaimer’
Finneas O’Connell is making his television scoring debut on the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Disclaimer. The show is written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men) and stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Leila George, Louis Partridge and Hoyeon. The 7-part psychological thriller is based on Renée Knight’s bestselling novel of the same title and revolves around an acclaimed journalist who receives a novel from an unknown author and is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.
‘Roma’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Sony Masterworks has announced a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie Roma. The soundtrack is curated by director Alfonso Cuarón and soundtrack producers/music supervisors Lynn Fainchtein and Randall Poster and brings us back to the sonic Mexico of the 1970s, when the famous XEW, a reference of Mexican radio, transmitted English pop and rock, while gradually introducing the new Mexican pop, through performers like José José, Juan Gabriel, and Rigo Tovar, musical icons that in the present, have remained as references of Mexican and Latin American music. Roma is written and directed by Cuaron and stars Yalitza Aparicio, Marina de Tavira, Marco Graf, Daniela Demesa, Enoc Leaño and Daniel Valtierra. Steven Price to Score NBC’s ‘Believe’
Steven Price has confirmed in a recent interview with Classic FM that is composing the music for the upcoming NBC drama Believe. The show is created by Alfonso Cuarón & Mark Friedman and stars Jake McLaughlin, Johnny Sequoyah, Jamie Chung, Arian Moayed, Kyle MacLachlan and Delroy Lindo. The series follows a young girl with an extraordinary ability and a man sprung from prison who has been tasked with protecting her from the evil elements that hunt her power. Cuaron is also executive producing the Bonanza, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television production with J.J. Abrams & Bryan Burk (Lost, Star Trek), Jonas Pate and Hans Tobeason. Cuaron has also directed the pilot episode. Price has previously collaborated with the director on last year’s hit sci-fi thriller Gravity and has recently been Academy Award-nominated for his work on the film.

WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Alfonso Cuaron’s sci-fi thriller Gravity. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steven Price (The World’s End, Attack the Block). Gravity stars Sandra Bullock as a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission and George Clooney as a veteran astronaut in command of his last flight before retiring. The movie follows the astronauts as they fight to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of the crew and destroys most of the station. The film just premiered at the Venice Film Festival to rave reviews and will be released in the US on October 4, 2013 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Steven Price to Score Alfonso Cuaron’s ‘Gravity’
Steven Price has signed on to score Alfonso Cuaron’s highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Gravity. The film stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as two astronauts who have to fight to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of the crew and destroys most of the station. Cuaron has written the movie’s screenplay with his son Jonas and Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs, Mother and Child) and is also producing the Warner Bros. Pictures and Heydey Films production with David Heyman (Harry Potter series, I Am Legend). The director’s regular cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki is lensing the film. Price is best known for his score for last year’s British alien invasion comedy Attack the Block.
