Four new movies are opening nationwide this holiday weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the action thriller sequel A Good Day to Die Hard directed by John Moore and starring Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney. The film’s music is composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream) who previously scored the last film in the series, Live Free or Die Hard. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. For audio clips and the full album details, visit our soundtrack announcement. Also opening wide is the romantic drama/thriller Safe Haven directed by Lasse Hallstrom and starring Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, David Lyons, Cobie Smulders and Noah Lomax. The film’s original score is composed by Deborah Lurie who previously worked with Hallstrom on the Nicholas Sparks adaptation Dear John and An Unfinished Life. A soundtrack album featuring the film’s songs, as well as one score track has been released by Relativity Music Group and Republic Records. Check out our previous article for the full details. ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ Soundtrack Details

The details for the soundtrack album for the upcoming action sequel A Good Day to Die Hard have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream) who scored his second film for the franchise following 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard. The soundtrack is scheduled to be released on February 19, 2013 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Cinema Musica and Sony Music has also just published a “first listen” of the soundtrack, including two full tracks (available here), as well as audio clips from all the other tracks on the album, which can be checked out after the jump. A Good Day to Die Hard is directed by John Moore (Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen) and stars Bruce Willis & Jai Courtney and follows John McClane as he finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack.

Sony Classical to Release Marco Beltrami’s ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ Score

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the action sequel A Good Day to Die Hard. The album features the film’s original score composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream) who previously scored the previous installment in the Die Hard series, Live Free or Die Hard. The soundtrack will be released on February 12, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The full album details, including track list and cover art are expected to be revealed in early 2013. A Good Day to Die Hard is directed by John Moore who has previously worked with the composer on such films as Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen and Max Payne.

Marco Beltrami to Score ‘World War Z’

Marco Beltrami has signed on to score the post-apocalyptic horror thriller World War Z. The movie is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball, Quantum of Solace) and stars Brad Pitt as a U.N. employee who scours the world, interviewing survivors of a Zombie apocalypse. Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Bryan Cranston and David Morse are co-starring. The film is based on the bestselling novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War written by Max Brooks, which is set 10 years after a global zombie epidemic. J. Michael Straczynski (The Changeling) and Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom) have written the screenplay and Pitt is producing the big-budget film with Dede Gardner (The Tree of Life) and Jeremy Kleiner.
