Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Ralph Ineson, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles and Paul Walter Hauser. The film’s original music is composed byMichael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, The Incredibles, Ratatouille). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Home co-written and directed by James DeMonaco and starring Pete Davidson, Mary Beth Peil, John Glover, Bruce Altman, Mugga, Adam Cantor, Denise Burse,Ethan Phillips, Stuart Rudin and Nathalie Schmidt. Nathan Whitehead (The Purge, Keanu,Days Gone, Stephanie, This Is the Night, Chicago Party Aunt, The Remaining) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release.
