Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Ralph Ineson, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles and Paul Walter Hauser. The film’s original music is composed byMichael Giacchino (UpLost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Star Trek, Jurassic World,  Doctor StrangeThe IncrediblesRatatouille). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Home co-written and directed by James DeMonaco and starring Pete Davidson, Mary Beth Peil, John Glover, Bruce Altman, Mugga, Adam Cantor, Denise Burse,Ethan Phillips, Stuart Rudin and Nathalie Schmidt. Nathan Whitehead (The Purge, Keanu,Days Gone, Stephanie, This Is the NightChicago Party AuntThe Remaining) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Quartet Records has announced the premiere CD release of the soundtrack album for the 1981 crime drama Prince of the City co-written and directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Treat Williams, Jerry Orbach, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Foronjy and Bob Balaban. The limited edition album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Chihara (Death Race 2000, China BeachThe Bad News Bears Go to China, Romance and Cigarettes). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full album details. Dave Porter (The Disaster Artist, Preacher, Echo, The BlacklistHightownTerm Life) is providing the original score for the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Pluribus. The show is created by Vince Gilligan and stars Rhea Seehorn, Karolina Wydra, Carlos Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte. The sci-fi drama revolves around the most miserable person on Earth who must save the world from happiness. Back Lot Music has released the original song Taking Everything from DreamWorks Animation’s sequel The Bad Guys 2. The track cowritten (with the film’s composer Daniel Pemberton) and performed by Busta Rhymes is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1967 comedy Arabella directed by Mauro Bolognini and starring Virna Lisi, James Fox, Margaret Rutherford and Terry-Thomas. The album, which is being released as part of the Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection, features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, The Untouchables, The Hateful Eight, Cinema Paradiso, The Thing). The CD, which is limited to 1,500 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original true crime documentary series Amy Bradley Is Missing. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sheridan Tongue (Silent Witness, MI-5, Race to the Summit, DCI Banks). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Amy Bradley Is Missing is directed by Ari Mark & Phil Lott and investigates the 1998 disappearance of a 23-year-old woman from a Caribbean cruise and her family’s tireless search for answers. The 3-parter produced by Ample Entertainment explores the cold case decades in the making as possible sightings of the missing person pop up in various locations from multiple people. Milan Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the action comedy The Naked Gun. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is The Naked Gun (Gordon Goodwin Remix) by the film’s composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Black Adam, Top Gun: Maverick, Bad Boys for Life) and featuring Ira Newborn’s classic theme from the original Naked Gun trilogy, originally written for the Police Squad! Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Turkish Netflix limited series Letters from the Past (Geleceğe Mektuplar). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by DJ and music producer Nurettin Çolak. Letters from the Past is created by Rana Denizer and stars Gökçe Bahadır, Onur Tuna, Selin Yeninci, Erdem Şenocak, Güneş Şensoy, Saygın Soysal, Can Bartu Arslan, Deniz Bakacak and Kerem Alp Kabul. Jeremy Zuckerman is returning to score Nickeldeon’s upcoming animated series Avatar: Seven Havens. The show created by Michael DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko is set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and centers around a young Earthbender who discovers she’s the new Avatar. DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are also executive producing the Avatar Studios/Nickelodeon Animation production with Ethan Spaulding. Zuckerman has previously scored Nickelodeon’s original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series (with a new soundtrack album coming out tomorrow), as well as as its sequel series The Legend of Korra. The show is created by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist, Taking Lives) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds), and stars Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Dallas Goldtooth, Simone Kessell, Tait Blum and Alfre Woodard. The 10-part thriller follows the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska whose jurisdiction is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates.
