Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the drama May December. The album features the music from the film, including original score cues composed by Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Equalizer 3, Emancipation, The Affair, Ray Donovan), as well as tracks from the 1971 feature The Go-Between written by Michel Legrand (The Thomas Crown Affair, Never Say Never Again, Summer of ’42, Yentl), which have been adapted by Zarvos into his score. The film directed by Simon Otto is based on filmmaker Richard Curtis’ best-selling series of children’s books, which tell multiple interweaved stories of love, loneliness, family and friends. Curtis (Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral) also co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Souter. Nicole P. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Channel 4 animated special Mog’s Christmas. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award and Emmy Award winner David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, Sherlock, Hot Fuzz, Godzilla, The World Is Not Enough, Good Omens). Also included is the project’s theme song As Long as I Belong written by Arnold, with lyrics by Don Black and performed by Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Only People).
