Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third and fourth seasons composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Ripley, Legion, The Night Of) and Perrine Virgile (Long Slow Exhale). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released two albums featuring the composers’ score from Season 1 and Season 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Clark (aka Chris Clark) (Daniel Isn’t Real, Lisey’s Story, The Last Panthers, National Treasure: Kiri, Rellik) who reworked his score for the record, as well as a cover of Carpenters / Sonic Youth classic Superstar. Prime Video has announced the track list of the soundtrack album for the second season of the streamer’s original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The album features selections of the original score from Season 2 composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day). as well as two new songs featuring vocalists Rufus Wainwright and Jens Kidman. Series stars Sophia Nomvete, Benjamin Walker, Rory Kinnear & Daniel Weyman also lend their vocals to several tracks on the soundtrack, which will be released digitally on August 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
