‘Whistle’ Soundtrack Album Details

TGM will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror feature Whistle. The album features the film’s original music composed by Doomphonic. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition will be released later this year by Mutant. Whistle is directed by Corin Hardy, written by Owen Egerton and stars Dafne Keen, Sophie Nelisse, Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Nick Frost, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White and Michelle Fairley. The movie follows a misfit group of unwitting high school students who stumble upon an ancient, cursed Aztec Death Whistle and discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down. 22D Music has released a digital single featuring two tracks from the German comedy Extrawurst. The soundtrack features original music from the film composed by Gerd Baumann (Our Last Tango, Open Water 2: Adrift, The Keeper, Adios Buenos Aires, My Life in OrangeGrave Decisions), including the vocal track Şıp Şap. The single is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to both tracks below. Extrawurst is directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller and stars Hape Kerkeling, Christoph Maria Herbst, Anja Knauer, Fahri Yardim and Friedrich Mücke. The movie based on Dietmar Jakobs’s & Moritz Netenjakob’s 2019 play of the same name is set within a small-town tennis club in rural Germany and chronicles the preparations for the club’s upcoming summer festival as a general meeting is held to vote on the purchase of a new grill. Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Industry. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fourth season composed by Nathan Micay (Reality, The Copenhagen Test, Sexy BeastTime Bomb Y2KThe Last Bus). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two first tracks (There is No Tender 2.0 & The Thing is Nothing) are already out to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French thriller The Night Bus (N121 – Bus de nuit). The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Sabin (Stalk, Nudes). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main theme below. The Night Bus is co-written and directed by Morade Aïssaoui and stars Riadh Belaïche, Bakary Diombera, Gaspard Gevin-Hié and Paola Locatelli. The movie follows three childhood friends on a night out in Paris to celebrate a major achievement and the start of their new life, when a fight breaks out the bus ride home between the passengers and escalates to an alarming level. Premiering today is the Peacock original series The ‘Burbs created by Celeste Hughey inspired by Joe Dante’s 1989 movie of the same name and starring Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch and Kapil Talwalkar. The show’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get OutNope,  Us,Star Wars: The Acolyte, Landscape with Invisible HandThe Burial,  Sirens, I See You YesterdayBreaking) & Robert Wallace. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past Friday. Premiering on Wednesday, February 11, is the Polish Netflix limited series Lead Children (Olowiane dzieci) directed by Maciej Pieprzyca and starring Joanna Kulig, Kinga Preis, Michał Żurawski, Marian Dziędziel, Agata Kulesza, Kinga Preis and Sebastian Pawlak. Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz (Quo Vadis, Aida?Copying Beethoven, In Darkness, Frantz, Rosemary’s BabyIn the Rearview) and Mary Komasa (TreasureCracow Monsters, Charlatan) have composed the show’s original music. The show is written by David Eldridge (The Scandalous Lady W) and stars Shaun Evans, Romola Garai, Zahra Ahmadi, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Gamba Cole, Omid Djalili, Matthew Tennyson, Hayley Tamaddon and Anthony Flanagan . The 4-part thriller directed by Julian Jarrold (A Royal Night Out, Sulphur & White)  follows a mid-career MI-5 officer’s race against time to thwart a major threat while confronting personal turmoil. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the South African Netflix original film Yoh! Bestie. The album features the movie’s original songs written by Kabomo Vilakazi. Bestie is directed by Johnny Barbuzano and stars Katlego Lebogang, Siya Sepotokele, Didie Makobane, Yonda Thomas, Kagiso Modupe and Fikile Mthwalo. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the gothic romance Dracula written and directed by Luc Besson and starring Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Haymon Maria Buttinger and Zoë Bleu Sidel. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, BeetlejuiceEdward ScissorhandsMen in BlackAlice in Wonderland). Ludwig Göransson Wins SCL Award for ‘Sinners’ Score

Ludwig Göransson has won the SCL Award in the Outstanding Original Score in a Studio Film category for his music from Ryan Coogler’s Sinners at tonight’s 7th Annual Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. In the Outstanding Original Score for an Independent Film category, Bryce Dessner received the award for his score from Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams. In the Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media categories, Göransson & Raphael Saadiq were honored for the song I Lied to You from Sinners (drama/documentary category) and  EJAE & Mark Sonnenblick won the award for Golden from the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters (comedy/musical category). Composer Dmitri Golovko (The Gloaming, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism) is reuniting with director Patrick Hughes (The Hitman’s BodyguardThe Expendables 3) on the upcoming Netflix original film War Machine. The film is co-written (with James Beaufort) and directed by Hughes and stars Alan Ritchson, Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Esai Morales, Jai Courtney, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale and Daniel Webber. The action thriller revolves around a combat engineer on one last grueling mission during Army Ranger training who must lead his unit in a fight against a giant otherworldly killing machine.
