Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the supernatural horror TV series Friday the 13th: The Series created by Frank Mancuso Jr. & Larry B. Williams based on the Friday the 13th features and starring John D. LeMay, Louise Robey, Steve Monarque and Chris Wiggins. The limited edition 2-CD set features selections of the show’s original score composed and performed by Fred Mollin (Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan , Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Fast Company, Screwballs II), including a remastered version of the original soundtrack album (released by GNP Crescendo) on the first disc and previously unreleased music from two major episodes (Coven of Darkness and The Prophecies) on the second disc. New Soundtrack Album for ‘Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan’ Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 slasher movie Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan directed by Rob Hedden and starring Jensen Daggett, Scott Reeves, Peter Mark Richman and Kane Hodder. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Fred Mollin (Fast Company, Screwballs II) who also co-scored the previous installment in the series (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) with Harry Manfredini. Also included are four previously unreleased songs from the movie from Mollin’s and songwriter Stan Meissner’s personal archives. World Premiere Soundtrack Release for ‘Stephen King’s Graveyard Shift’ Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1990 horror movie Graveyard Shift directed by Ralph S. Singleton, written by John Esposito based on Stephen King’s short story and starring David Andrews, Stephen Macht, Kelly Wolf and Brad Dourif. The album features the film’s original score composed by Anthony Marinelli (15 Minutes, 2 Days in the Valley, Timecode) & Brian Banks (Young Guns, Internal Affairs). Also included are alternate bonus tracks, including the movie’s trailer music composed and performed by John Beal. The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today.
Complete ‘Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood’ Score Released
Waxwork Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1988 horror sequel Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood directed by John Carl Buechler and starring Lar Park Lincoln, Kevin Blair, Susan Blu, Terry Kiser and Kane Hodder. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Manfredini (House, Wishmaster, Swamp Thing) who composed the music for all the previous movies in the franchise and Fred Mollin (Fast Company, Screwballs II) who also scored Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is set to come out this May (click here to pre-order).
