Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French animated feature The Jungle Bunch 2: World Tour (Les As de la Jungle 2 – Opération tour du monde) The album features the film’s original music composed and orchestrated by Olivier Cussac (Terra Willy, Epic Tails, Pil) who previously scored the original 2017 movie. Also included is the composer’s score from the 2013 TV series The Jungle Bunch: To the Rescue (Les As de la Jungle à la rescousse!). The CD version of the soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Ed Banger Records/Because Music have released a soundtrack album for the French sci-fi drama Tropic. The album features the film’s original music composed by SebastiAn (aka Sebastian Akchoté) (The World Is Ours). Also included is the original song Twin by SebastiAn & Oliver Sim. Premiering tonight is the second season of the HBO original series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty created by Max Borenstein & Jim Hecht and starring John C. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock) has joined Robert Glasper (who shared scoring credit on Season 1 with Nicholas Britell) to co-score the new season. The drama will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
Premiering on Wednesday, August 9, is the Apple TV+ original animated series Strange Planet created by Dan Harmon & Nathan W. Pyle and starring Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Danny Pudi, Lori Tan Chinn and Hannah Einbinder. Isabella Summers (Little Fires Everywhere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Offer, Physical, Sex/Life, Call Jane) has composed the show’s original music. The film is directed by Kevin Grevioux (Underworld, I, Frankenstein) and stars Frank Grillo, Alain Moussi, Stephen Dorff, Grevioux himself and Marie Avgeropoulos. The EP features five songs from the second season of the show written and performed by Primary, Kevin Oh, Kriz and Meego. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here.
