Paramount+ announced today (as part of the Star Trek Comic-Con presentation) that Kay Hanley and Tom Polce (of the rock band Letters to Cleo) have written ten original songs for an upcoming musical episode of the streamer’s original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The episode, entitled Subspace Rhapsody, will premiere as part of the show’s second season on August 9, 2023, and is also set to feature a special version of the series’ main title. Adam Price and Peter Gregson have recently recorded their score for the upcoming psychological thriller Apartment 7A. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, His Dark Materials, The LEGO Batman Movie, Black Adam) serves as the score producer of the film directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic) and starring Julia Garner, Dianne Wiest, Marli Siu and Rosy McEwen. No plot details have been announced yet for the movie, which is believed to be a prequel to Roman Polanski’s 1968 classic Rosemary’s Baby based on the novel by Ira Lewin.
