Ilan Eshkeri (StardustThe Young VictoriaStill Alice, Layer Cake, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, A Perfect PlaceKick-Ass) has composed the original music for the upcoming Irish drama Long Day’s Journey Into Night. The film is directed by Jonathan Kent and stars Jessica Lange, Ed Harris and Ben Foster. The movie based on Eugene O’Neill’s classic autobiographical play takes place over the course of 24 hours and depicts the Tyrone family, who, despite attempts at affection and intimacy, are locked in a cycle of conflict and resentment. David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole, Oz the Great and Powerful) wrote the screenplay. Gabrielle Tana (Philomena, The Duchess), Redmond Morris (The Reader, The Affair of the Necklace), Bill Kenwright (The Critic, Cheri), Gleb Fetisoff (Loveless, The Piper), Carolyn Marks-Blackwood (Firebrand, The Dig) are producing the project. Eshkeri has previously scored the Tana- & Marks-Blackwood-produced features Coriolanus, The Invisible Woman and The White Crow. Long Day’s Journey Into Night will premiere next month at the 2025 Glasgow Film Festival.

Eshkeri has also recently scored the second season of the TV series Rogue Heroes, which currently airs in the UK every Sunday night on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on MGM+.
