The film is directed by Anand Tucker (Hilary & Jackie, Shopgirl) and stars Gemma Arterton, Ian McKellen, Mark Strong, Lesley Manville, Romola Garai, Ben Barnes and Alfred Enoch. The movie based on Anthony Quinn’s classic novel Curtain Call is set in the theatre world in 1934 London and follows two adversaries who are forced to take desperate measures to save their careers. Netflix Music has released the original song Take the World by Storm from the Netflix animated film The Monkey King. The track written by Tony Award winners Toby Marlow & Lucy Moss (SIX), produced by Ali Dee and performed by Bowen Yang, Ron Yuan & Jo Koy (who also star in the movie) is now available to stream/download (in two different versions) on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ollie Howell (Rise of the Footsoldier 4: Marbella, Forced Out) and C Palmer (aka Swindle) (Champion). EmmoLei Sankofa (Step Up, Three Ways, Lizzo’s Watch Out For the Big Grrrls, Horror Noire) has been tapped to score the new Hulu original series The Other Black Girl. The show is based on Zakiya Dalila Harris’ best-selling novel of the same name and stars Sinclair Daniel, Ashleigh Murray, Hunter Parrish, Brittany Adebumola, Bellamy Young, Eric McCormack and Garcelle Beauvais. The comedy follows an African American editorial assistant at a predominantly white publishing firm who gets excited when a new black co-worker gets hired, but discovers something sinister is going on at the company.
