Ed Banger Records/Because Music have released a soundtrack album for the French sci-fi drama Tropic. The album features the film’s original music composed by SebastiAn (aka Sebastian Akchoté) (The World Is Ours). Also included is the original song Twin by SebastiAn & Oliver Sim. Tropic is co-written and directed by Edouard Salier and stars Pablo Cobo, Louis Peres and Marta Nieto. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock) has joined Robert Glasper (who shared scoring credit on Season 1 with Nicholas Britell) to co-score the new season. The drama will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
Premiering on Wednesday, August 9, is the Apple TV+ original animated series Strange Planet created by Dan Harmon & Nathan W. Pyle and starring Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Danny Pudi, Lori Tan Chinn and Hannah Einbinder.
