Sky Music will release a soundtrack album for the Sky/Peacock original limited series Lockerbie: A Search for Truth. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder WomanHacksaw Ridge, Over the HedgeThe Legend of Tarzan, The Perfect CoupleSmallfoot, Hotel Rwanda). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 2 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Lockerbie: A Search for Truth is developed by David Harrower based on Dr. Jim Swire’s & Peter Biddulph’s book The Lockerbie Bombing: A Father’s Search for Justice and stars Colin Firth, Catherine McCormack, Sam Troughton, Rosanna Adams, Jemma Carlton, Harry Redding, Selwa Jghalef, Mark Bonner and Ardalan Esmaili. The 5-parter is based on the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and chronicles the search for justice by Swire and his wife who tragically lost their beloved daughter in the event. Tim Rice (The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Road to El Dorado) has revealed in a recent interview with The Irish News that he is co-writing new original songs for the upcoming film adaptation of the stage musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita). Jon M. Chu (Wicked, Crazy Rich Asians) is attached to direct the movie based on the duo’s Tony Award-winning show, which tells the biblical story of Jacob’s favorite son Joseph and his eleven brothers and which premiered in the West End in 1972 and on Broadway in 1983. Scott Sanders (The Color Purple, The Odd Life of Timothy Green) and Mara Jacobs (In the Heights) are producing the project for SGS Pictures and Chu and Lance Johnson (Thai Cave Rescue) are producing for Electric Somewhere. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Matt Mahaffey (Tales & Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Karma’s World, Rock Dog 3: Battle the Beat) and members of his composer collective Cake In Space. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, Straight Outta Compton, The WitcherThe Greatest Showman,  Project Power, The Raid: Redemption) has provided the original score for the upcoming Netflix original anime film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. The movie is directed by Kang Hei Chul and features the voices of Doug Cockle, Joey Batey, Anya Chalotra and Christina Wren. The Studio MIR production follows Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, as he is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Quincy Jones (The Color Purple, Roots, In Cold Blood, In the Heat of the Night, The Italian JobMackenna’s Gold). The film is written and directed by Stoller and stars Will Ferrell, Reese Witherspoon, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jimmy Tatro, Meredith Hagner, Stony Blyden, Rory Scovel, Leanne Morgan, Ramona Young, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Jack McBrayer and Celia Weston.
