Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for Park Chan-wook’s psychological trailer Stoker. The album features the film’s original score composed by Clint Mansell, an original song by Emily Wells and additional music by Philip Glass. The soundtrack will be released on February 26, 2013. A.R. Rahman and Tuomas Kantelinen have been tapped to score the fantasy action adventure The Seventh Son. The film is directed by Sergei Bodrov and stars Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Antje Traue, Olivia Williams and Djimon Hounsou. The film is based on the young adult series The Spook’s Apprentice by Joseph Delaney and follows a teen who’s the seventh son of a seventh son, and who learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook. Matt Greenberg (1408), Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond) and Aaron Guzikowski (Contraband) have written the screenplay. Thomas Tull (Pacific Rim), Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Clash of the Titans) and Lionel Wigram (Sherlock Holmes) are producing the Legendary Pictures and Thunder Road Pictures production. Big Sounds International has released a soundtrack album for the indie romantic comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever. The album features the film’s songs by artists including Lily Allen, Brenda Russell, Vetiver, Mr. Little Jeans, Shabazz Palaces and Boogaloo Assassins, as well as two songs by Sunny Levine who also co-scored the film with DJ Zach Cowie (also known as Turquoise Wisdom). None of the film’s score is included on the soundtrack, which is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. Celeste and Jesse Forever is directed by Lee Toland Krieger and written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack who are also starring in the film alongside Andy Samberg, Chris Messina, Emma Roberts, Ari Graynor and Elijah Wood. Labelzero has released a soundtrack album for the French action romantic comedy Fly Me to the Moon (Un plan parfait). The album features the film’s original score composed by Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Time Machine). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon or for the price of your choice in the label’s online store. The soundtrack will also be released on CD, Music DVD and Music Blu-Ray on November 1, 2012. Fly Me to the Moon is directed by Pascal Chaumail who previously worked with Badelt on Heartbreaker and stars Diane Kruger and Dany Boon. The movie follows a successful woman in love who tries to break her family curse of every first marriage ending in divorce, by dashing to the alter with a random stranger before marrying her boyfriend. Ennio Morricone to Score ‘The Canterville Ghost’

Ennio Morricone is set to score the upcoming animated feature The Cantervile Ghost. The movie is directed by Kim Burden and features the voice talent of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. The Memoth Films and Arc Productions project is based on the classic story by Oscar Wilde and is written by Keiron Self and Giles New (That Mitchell And Webb Look). Robert Chandler and Gina Carter (Snow Cake) are producing the movie. Arc Productions has previously been involved in animated films including Gnomeo & Juliet and 9, as well as last year’s family hit film Dolphin Tale. Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack album for the horror sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Danna and Akira Yamaoka who preciously scored the first installment in the film series based on the video game. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2012. A physical release is scheduled to come out in December and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The details for the soundtrack album for the action adventure movie Red Dawn have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Game of Thrones). Red Dawn is directed by Dan Bradley and stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. James Newton Howard to Return for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

James Newton Howard has confirmed in a recent interview with Filmmusicsite.com, Underscores.fr and BSO Spirit (available to listen here) at last weekend’s Ghent Film Festival that he is attached to score the upcoming The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. The composer has scored this year’s first part in the series and has also written the music for the sequel’s director Francis Lawrence’s previous two features I Am Legend and Water for Elephants. Catching Fire based on the novel by Suzanne Collins stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. Academy Award-winning screenwriters Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) and Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) have penned the script. Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik are returning as the producers. Screamworks Records has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian supernatural thriller Thale. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Raymond Enoksen and Geirmund Simonsen. The album is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Thale is written and directed by Aleksander L. Nordaas and tells the story of a mythical “huldra,” a beautiful, tailed female forest creature who is discovered in a concealed cellar by two crime scene cleaners. The film starring Silje Reinåmo, Jon Sigve Skard, Erlend Nervold, Morten Andresen, Sunniva Lien and Roland Åstrand premiered at last month’s Toronto Film Festival and has been picked up by XLrator Media for a US release in early 2013. Claude Foisy is currently scoring the new CW drama Beauty and the Beast. The composer has started working on the series with last week’s episode Proceed with Caution and will be writing the score for the rest of the first season. Mark Isham has scored the pilot episode, which premiered two weeks ago. The show stars Kristin Kreuk as a homicide detective who witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen when she was a teenager and is about to uncover the mystery of the “beast” that saved her ten years later.
