The album is produced by Buddy Miller who took over from T Bone Burnett as the executive music producer of the series for the second season and features songs from the show’s cast including Connie Britton (Rayna Jaymes), Hayden Panettiere (Juliette Barnes), Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne), Clare Bowen (Scarlett O’Connor), Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott), Jonathan Jackson (Avery Barkley), Chris Carmack (Will Lexington), Aubrey Peeples (Layla Grant), Chaley Rose (Zoey Dalton), sisters Lennon and Maisy Stella (Maddie & Daphne Conrad), Will Chase (Luke Wheeler) and more. WAZ to Score Fox’s ‘Surviving Jack’

surviving-jackWAZ is scoring the upcoming Fox comedy Surviving Jack. The show is created by Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker ($#*! My Dad Says) and stars Christopher Meloni, Connor Buckley, Rachael Harris, Claudia Lee, Kevin Hernandez and Tyler Foden. The series based on Justin Halpern’s autobiographical book I Suck at Girls is set in 1990s Southern California and follows an ex-military man and no-nonsense guy who becomes a full-time parent when his wife decides to go to law school. Halpern and Schumacker are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television and Doozer production with Bill Lawrence (Spin City, Scrubs) and Jeff Ingold WAZ is best known as a singer/songwriter and for his solo records. ‘Khumba’ Soundtrack Details

khumbaLabelzero will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Khumba. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bruce Retief who previously scored last year’s Zambezia for South Africa’s Triggerfish Animation Studio. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 1, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Khumba marks Triggerfish’s second 3D animated feature and is directed by Anthony Silverston. The movie’s voice talent includes Jake T. Austin, Laurence Fishburne, Annasophia Robb, Liam Neeson and Steve Buscemi. The film is directed by Kriv Stenders (Red Dog) and stars Simon Pegg, Alice Braga, Luke Hemsworth, Teresa Palmer, Bryan Brown, Sullivan Stapleton and Callan Mulvey. The movie’s story is being told from three different points of view and follows a mercurial professional assassin in a sundrenched Australian surfing town who is hired to kill the singer wife of a wealthy man. James McFarland has written the screenplay and Laurence Malkin & Share Stallings (Death at a Funeral, A Few Best Men) are producing the project with former film industry administrator Tania Chambers. The album features the film’s original music written by Golden Globe-nominated composers Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil (Cloud Atlas, One Hour Photo, The International). Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator) has also contributed additional music for the movie. The soundtrack will be released on January 21, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. I, Frankenstein is written and directed by Stuart Beattie and stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young. The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same title by Kevin Grevioux and centers on Frankenstein’s monster Adam, who has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation and is being pursued by demons wanting to gain the secret of his reanimated corpse. furySteven Price has been tapped to score David Ayer’s upcoming currently untitled WWII dramatic thriller, previously known as Fury. The film is written and directed by Ayer (screenwriter of Training Day) and stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood. The movie follows the commander of a Sherman tank and its five-man crew on a mission behind enemy lines in April 1945 as Nazi Germany collapses. Ayer is also producing the QED International and Le Grisbi production with Bill Block (W., Alex Cross), John Lesher (End of Watch, Blood Ties) and Ethan Smith. Price is best known for his score for this year’s box office hit and awards contender Gravity directed by Alfonso Cuaron. stay-aliveThe original song Stay Alive performed by Jose Gonzalez from Ben Stiller’s fantasy comedy drama The Secret Life of Walter Mitty will be released as a single. The song is composed by the movie’s composer Theodore Shapiro (Tropic Thunder, Marley & Me) and Craig Wedren (Wet Hot American Summer, The School of Rock). They have also penned the original song Step Out, which is already available to download. The Stay Alive single will be released on December 3 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to an audio clips. As previously reported, Universal Republic will release a soundtrack album for the film featuring both songs, as well as more music from the movie on December 17. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty starring Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn will be released nationwide on December 25, 2013 by 20th Century Fox. roque-banosRoque Banos has been hired to score the upcoming action drama In the Heart of the Sea. The film is directed by Ron Howard and stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Keeley, Ben Whishaw, Charlotte Riley and Tom Holland. The movie is based on a novel by Nathaniel Philbrick and follows a whaling ship that is preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home. Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond, K-Pax) has adapted the material for the screen. Howard’s producing partner Brian Grazer, Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and the Huntsman), Paula Weinstein (The Perfect Storm, Blood Diamond) and William Ward are producing the Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow production. Howard has previously collaborated with such composers as James Horner (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Cocoon), John Williams (Far and Away), Thomas Newman (Cinderella Man) and Randy Newman (Parenthood).
