Frederik Wiedmann has composed the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Justice League vs. Teen Titans. The film is directed by Sam Liu and features the voices of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Jon Bernthal as Trigon, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Stuart Allan as Robin/Damian Wayne, Jake T. Austin as Blue Beetle, Brandon Soo Hoo as Beast Boy, Kari Wahlgren as Starfire, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Maher as Nightwing and Christopher Gorham as Barry Allen/Flash. Bryan Q. Miller & Alan Burnett have written the screenplay and James Tucker is producing the project.

‘I Saw the Light’ Soundtrack Announced
Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the biographical drama I Saw the Light. The album feature new interpretations of classic Hank Williams tracks performed for the film by Tom Hiddleston and the Saddle Spring Boys. Also included are popular recordings contemporaneous to Hank’s life and career, including tracks by Eddy Arnold, The Delmore Brothers, Jo Stafford, Jimmy Liggins, Eartha Kitt, George Morgan and Emmett Miller. The soundtrack will be released on March 25, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. I Saw the Light is written and directed by Marc Abraham and stars Hiddleston, as well as Elizabeth Olsen, Cherry Jones, Bradley Whitford, Maddie Hasson, Wrenn Schmidt and David Krumholtz. The movie tells the story of the legendary country-western singer’s meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.
Gabriel Yared Scoring Xavier Dolan’s ‘It’s Only the End of the World’
Gabriel Yared is reuniting with director Xavier Dolan on the upcoming drama It’s Only the End of the World (Juste la fin du monde). The film is written and directed by Dolan (Mommy, I Killed My Mother) and stars Marion Cotillard, Lea Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye and Gaspard Ulliel. The movie is based on a play by Jean-Luc Lagarce of the same name and follows a terminally ill writer who returns home after a long absence to tell his family that he is dying. Dolan is also producing the project with his producing partner Nancy Grant, alongside Nathanael Karmitz (On the Road, Certified Copy) and Sylvain Corbeil (Felix and Meira).
Andy Gray to Score Syfy’s ‘Hunters’
Andy Gray has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Hunters. The show is developed by Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes) based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter and stars Julian McMahon, Nathan Phillips, Britne Oldford, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Mark Coles Smith, Gareth Davies, Shannon Berry and Laura Gordon. The drama chronicles the disappearance of the wife of a decorated Philadelphia cop which leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists. Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, The Terminator trilogy) and are executive producing the Valhalla Entertainment and Universal Cable production.
Expanded ‘Nick of Time’ Soundtrack to Be Released
La-La Land Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Nick of Time directed by John Badham and starring Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken and Charles S. Dutton. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Arthur B. Rubinstein (Blue Thunder, Wargames, Scarecrow and Mrs. King), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD is limited to 1500 copies. Deborah Lurie Scoring Dan Harris’ ‘Speech & Debate’
Deborah Lurie is reteaming with Dan Harris (screenwriter of X-Men 2 & Superman Returns) on the upcoming comedy drama Speech & Debate. The film marks the filmmaker’s second feature directorial effort and stars Liam James, Sarah Steel, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Austin McKenzie. The movie is based on the off-Broadway play of the same title by Stephen Karam (The Seagull) and follows a misfit trio of high school students who, frustrated by the hypocrisy of their authority figures, revive their school’s long since shut-down speech and debate club. Karam has also written the screenplay. Tom Rice (The Way Way Back, is producing the project for Sycamore Pictures.
‘How to Be Single’ Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy How to Be Single. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Fifth Harmony, Nick Waterhouse, Avicii, Charli XCX, K7, Rumor, The Arcs, Phoebe Ryan, Hailee Steinfeld & more. NBC’s ‘Crowded’ to Feature Theme by Jesse Novak and Score by Chris Alan Lee
Jesse Novak has written the theme for the upcoming NBC comedy Crowded. Chris Alan Lee is scoring the show, which is created by Suzanne Martin (Hot in Cleveland, The Client List) and stars Patrick Warburton, Carrie Preston, Miranda Cosgrove, Mia Serafino, Stacy Keach and Carlease Burke. The series follows two recent empty-nesters whose plans change when their children and their parents move back home. Martin is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner (Grimm) and James Burrows (Will & Grace, Cheers, Mike & Molly).
‘Eddie the Eagle’ Soundtrack Details
Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the sports drama Eddie the Eagle. The album features a collections of songs inspired by the movie by artists including Marc Almond, Andy Bell, Tony Hadley, Holly Johnson, Go West, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, ABC, Nik Kershaw, Howard Jones & more. Also included is the theme from the movie’s original score composed by Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2, Skyline). The soundtrack is set to be released digitally next month. A CD version is coming out on March 18, 2016 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Eddie the Eagle is directed by Dexter Fletcher, produced by Matthew Vaughn and stars Taron Egerton, Christopher Walken, Hugh Jackman, Jo Hartley, Tim McInnerny and Ania Sowinski. The movie tells the story of ski jumper Michael Edwards who rose to fame as the very-last-place finisher in two events at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
‘Grease LIVE!’ Soundtrack Announced
Republic Records, FOX and Paramount Television have announced a soundtrack album for the TV musical event Grease LIVE!. The album features the songs from the special originally written for the stage musical and the 1979 film by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, as well as two original tracks written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey and performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and DNCE and an original track written and performed by DNCE. The soundtrack will be available digitally on Sunday, January 31, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. The first song Grease (Is The Word) performed by the live cast and Jessie J is already available to download on Amazon. A CD version with four bonus tracks will be released exclusively in Target on March 4.
