Premiering tonight is the new AMC original series Humans created by Jonathan Brackley & Sam Vincent based on the Swedish TV series Real Humans and starring Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, William Hurt, Will Tudor, Rebecca Front and Colin Morgan. The show’s original music is composed by Cristobal Tapia De Veer (Utopia). Humans is set in a parallel present in London where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth – a highly developed, artificially intelligent servant eerily similar to its living counterpart. Premiering on Tuesday, June 30 is the MTV original series Scream executive produced by Wes Craven and starring Bella Thorne, Willa Fitzgerald, Amy Forsyth, John Karna, Carlson Young, Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Amadeus Serafini, Connor Weil, Tracy Middendorf and Jason Wiles. Jeremy Zuckerman (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra) is composing the show’s original score. ‘Pixels’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack album for the sci-fi action comedy Pixels have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Big Hero 6, Wreck-It-Ralph). The soundtrack will be released on July 24, 2015 by Varese Sarabande and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Pixels is directed by Chris Columbus and stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Brian Cox. The movie follows a former arcade gaming champ who is tasked with saving Earth from an invasion of aliens portrayed as giant versions of classic videogame characters, such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. ‘Southpaw’ Music from and Inspired by the Film Soundtrack Details

Shady Records and Interscope Records have announced the details of the soundtrack album for Antoine Fuqua’s boxing drama Southpaw. The album features the songs from and inspired by the film by artists including Eminem, 50 Cent, The Weeknd, The Notorious B.I.G., Slaughterhouse, Denaun, Bad Meets Evil & more. Also included are two tracks from the film’s original score composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar). A separate soundtrack album featuring Horner’s full score will be released on Sony Classical. The Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture soundtrack will be released on July 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Southpaw starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker, Beau Knapp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Naomie Harris, Oona Laurence, Rita Ora & Victor Ortiz will be released on July 24 by the Weinstein Company. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Ted 2 directed by Seth MacFarlane and starring Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Barth and Giovanni Ribisi. The film’s original music is composed by Walter Murphy (American Dad, Family Guy) who also scored 2012’s original movie. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Mean Ol’ Moon performed by Amanda Seyfriend and Norah Jones in two different version and tracks by Ray Charles, Bone Symphony and John Wilson, Maida Vale Singers & Curtis Stigers. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 322 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures to join the organization. Among the invited artists this year a number of film composers, including Johann Johannsson (Prisoners, Sicario) who received his first Academy Award nomination earlier this year for his music for The Theory of Everything, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross who received the Oscar in 2011 for their work on David Fincher’s The Social Network and recently reunited with the director on Gone Girl, Tyler Bates whose film scoring credits include last year’s hit film Guardians of the Galaxy, Jonny Greenwood whose film music work include Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood, The Master and Inherent Vice and Christopher Lennertz whose recent feature credits include Ride Along, Horrible Bosses 2 and The Wedding Ringer. The movie is directed by Camille Delamarre (Brick Mansions) and co-stars Ray Stevenson, Loan Shabanon, Gabriella Wright, Radivoje Bukvić, Anatole Taubman, Wenxia Yu and Tatiana Pajković.
