starred-upGood Grace has released a soundtrack album for the prison drama Starred Up. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tony Doogan and the movie’s director David Mackenzie. The soundtrack is now available digitally on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Starred Up directed by Mackenzie (Young Adam, Perfect Sense) stars Jack O’Connell, Ben Mendelsohn and Rupert Friend. The movie about a a troubled 19-year-old who ends up in the same prison as his father premiered at last year’s Telluride and Toronto Film Festival and was picked up by Tribeca Film for domestic distribution. johann-johannssonJóhann Jóhannsson is reteaming with director Denis Villeneuve (IncendiesEnemy) to score the upcoming crime drama Sicario. The film stars Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey Donovan. The movie follows an officer from Tucson, Arizona who travels to Mexico with a pair of mercenaries to track down a drug lord. Actor Taylor Sheridan wrote the screenplay and Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Clash of the Titans) is producing the Black Label Media and Thunder Road Pictures production with Molly Smith (P.S. I Love You, Beautiful Creatures), Trent Luckinbill & Thad Luckinbill (The Good Lie) and Ed McDonnell (Three Kings, Insomnia). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Attack the Block, The World’s End). The soundtrack will be released on October 14, 2014. captain-americaDirectors Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed in a recent interview with Comicbook.com that Henry Jackman will return to score Marvel Studios’ Captain America 3. Chris Evans is returning to star in the title role as Steve Roger in the currently untitled sequel. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (The Chronicles of Narnia series, Thor: The Dark World) who penned the previous installment in the series are writing the screenplay. No plot details have been announced yet. Kevin Feige (The AvengersIron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) is once again producing the project for Marvel. ‘Turn’ Soundtrack Announced

turnRepublic Records will release a soundtrack album for the AMC original series Turn. The album features six songs from the show by such artists as Matt Berninger, Jake Bugg, Sarah Blasko, Jonathan Wilson, Gary Lightbody and Andrew Bird. The label has previously released the individual tracks as singles. The soundtrack will be released on September 2, 2014. Turn is created by Craig Silverstein and stars Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Meegan Warner, Kevin R. McNally, Burn Gorman, Angus Macfadyen, JJ Feild and Samuel Roukin. The drama’s first season scored by Marco Beltrami premiered earlier this year on AMC. rob-simonsenDirector Bobby Miller announced on Twitter that Rob Simonsen is scoring the upcoming horror comedy Master Cleanse. The film is written and directed by Miller and stars Johnny Galecki, Anna Friel, Oliver Platt and Anjelica Huston. The movie follows a man who decides to restart his life, joining a spiritual retreat designed to cleanse negative toxins from his body. Jordan Horowitz (The Kids Are All Right, Save the Date) is producing the project for Gilbert Films, alongside Aaron L. Gilbert (A Single Shot, Trust Me) for Bron Studios and Galecki for Alcide Bava Pictures. Master Cleanse is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2015.
