Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama 6 Years. The film is written and directed by Hannah Fidell (A Teacher) and stars Taissa Farmiga, Ben Rosenfield, Lindsay Burdge, Joshua Leonard, Peter Vack and Jennifer Lafleur. The movie follows a young couple who have been together since high school and who are about to graduate from college when events threaten to tear them apart. Kelly Williams, Jonathan Duffy & Andrew Logan (Hellion) are producing the project. Mark Duplass (Cyrus, Togetherness, Jeff Who Lives at Home) serves as an executive producer. ‘Ned Rifle’ Soundtrack Announced

Possible Films Music will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Ned Rifle. The album features the film’s original music composed by the film’s director Hal Hartley. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 31, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Ned Rifle is written, directed and produced by Hartley and stars Liam Aiken, Aubrey Plaza, Martin Donovan, Parker Posey, Thomas Jay Ryan and James Urbaniak. The movie is the third part in the director’s trilogy that began with Henry Fool and Fay Grim and follows Henry and Fay’s teenage son Ned, who emerges from a witness protection program with a single, fixed purpose: to kill his father for ruining his mother’s life. Premiering tonight in the U.S. on PBS is the British drama Grantchester created by Daisy Coulam and stars James Norton, Robson Green, Morven Christie, Tessa Peake-Jones, Al Weaver and Pheline Roggan. The show’s original music is composed by John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the show, as well as songs by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Gloria Dee overseas last month. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Score Album Details

Republic Records will release a score album for the film adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Men in Black). The soundtrack will be released on February 17, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The cover art will be added to this article soon. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film and two tracks from Elfman’s score on February 10. Frederik Wiedmann has composed the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Batman vs. Robin. The movie is inspired by the Batman: The Court of Owls storyline from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo and features the voices of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Sean Maher as Robin and David McCallum as Alfred. They are joined by Jeremy Sisto, Grey Griffin, “Weird” Al Yankovic, Robin Atkin Downes, Peter Onorati and Kevin Conroy. Jay Oliva who previously helmed Batman: Assault on Arkham and both parts of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is directing the film from a script by comic writer J.M. DeMatteis. ‘The Godfather LIVE’ to Debut in Los Angeles

On Saturday, January 24, The Godfather LIVE will make its Southern California debut at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The film’s original music composed by Nino Rota for the Academy Award-winning film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall & Diane Keaton will performed live by the Hollywood Studio Symphony while the film is simultaneously shown in high definition on the big screen. The event will also feature appearances of special guests to be announced. Justin Freer is conducting and producing the concert.
