Fake Diamond Records will release a soundtrack album for the Danish drama Gold Coast. The album features the film’s original music composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, The Straight Story), Lasse Martinussen and Johan Carøe, as well as the title song Remember Me performed by Kwamie Liv. The soundtrack will be released overseas tomorrow, June 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Gold Coast is directed by Daniel Dencik and stars Jakob Oftebro and Danica Curcic. The movie centers on the illegal Danish slave trade on Africa’s Gold Coast and is set in the 1830s as Wulff Joseph Wulff arrives in Africa to set up plantations and falls in love with a slave girl despite having a fiancée at home in Denmark. Nathan Whitehead has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming WE tv original series South of Hell. The show is executive produced by Eli Roth (Hostel, Hemlock Grove, Cabin Fever) & Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Whiplash) and stars Mena Suvari, Zachary Booth, Bill Irwin, Drew Moerlein, Lamman Rucker and Paulina Singer. The supernatural thriller is set in Savannah, GA and follows a reluctant exorcist for hire with her very own demon living inside of her. Roth has also directed the pilot episode. Soundtrack for Pixar’s ‘Lava’ Released

Walt Disney Records has released the music from the Pixar animated short Lava. The single features the original song from the movie composed by the film’s director James Ford Murphy and featuring vocals by Kuana Torres Kahele and Napua Greig. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out an audio sample. Lava tells a story that takes place over millions of years and is inspired by the beauty of tropical islands and the allure of ocean volcanoes. The animated short is being released in front of Pixar’s Inside Out, which opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, July 19.

La-La Land Records has released a remastered and expanded soundtrack for Paramount Pictures 1993 drama Searching for Bobby Fischer directed by Steven Zaillian and starring Joe Mantegna, Laurence Fishburne and Joan Allen. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13), including previously unreleased music and a number of alternate cues. Eminem to Produce Music for ‘Narc’ TV Series

Deadline is reporting that Eminem is in talks to serve as the music supervisor and write original songs for the Narc television series. The show is based on Joe Carnahan’s 2002 feature starring Ray Liotta and Jason Patric as two Detroit police detectives who are investigating the murder of an undercover cop. Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team) has written the pilot script for the Detroit-set drama. Eminem is also expected to executive produce the Paramount TV production with Carnahan.
