Meghan Trainor announced that she is recording an original song for the upcoming animated feature The Peanuts Movie. The track is called Better When I’m Dancin’ and will mark the singer/songwriter’s first original song for a movie. Alec Puro is set to reunite with director Gavin Wiesen on the upcoming indie comedy The Runaround. The movie stars J.K. Simmons, Emile Hirsch and Kristen Schaal. The film centers on a workaholic father who forced to team up with his daughter’s awkward ex-boyfriend to find her over the course of one night when attempts to visit her during a last-minute layover in Los Angeles. Reunion Records will release a score album for the faith-based drama War Room. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Mills (Against the Sun, October Baby). The soundtrack will be released on August 7, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. War Room is directed by Alex Kendrick (Fireproof, Courageous) and stars Priscilla Shirer, Alex Kendrick, T.C. Stallings, Michael Jr., Karen Abercrombie and Alena Pitts. Bret McKenzie has been tapped to write original songs for Disney’s upcoming musical comedy Bob the Musical. The film is set to be directed by Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist) Tom Cruise is in talks to star in the movie a regular guy who, after a blow to the head, suddenly can hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart as his reality is instantly turned into a musical, much to his dismay. Michael Chabon (Wonder Boys, John Carter) is writing the screenplay and Tripp Vinson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), Chris Bender (We’re the Millers), JC Spink (The Butterfly Effect) and Beau Flynn (San Andreas) are producing the project. Atli Orvarsson has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Bilal. The film is directed by Khurram Alavi and features the voice talent of Ian McShane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Michael Gross. The movie is inspired by the story of the real-life African hero Bilal Ibn Rabah, who, born into slavery in the sixth century, was one of the most trusted companions of the Prophet Muhammad.
