Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming war thriller Jadotville. The film is directed by Richie Smyth and stars Jamie Dornan, Guillaume Canet, Jason O’Mara and Mark Strong. The movie tells the true story of Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan who led a stand off with troops against French and Belgian Mercenaries in the Congo during in the early 1960s. Kevin Brodbin (Constantine, Mindhunters) has written the screenplay based on a novel by Declan Power. Alan Moloney (The Escapist, Albert Nobbs, Byzantium) is producing the project for Parallel Films. Fridrik Erlingsson (Legends of Valhalla) has written the screenplay. Hilmar Sigurdsson and Haukur Sigurjónsson are producing the project for the Icelandic production company GunHil and Ives Agemans is producing for the Belgian animation studio Cyborn. Sony Masterworks will release a score album for the action thriller Hardcore Henry. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dasha Charusha. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
