Henry Jackman has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming fantasy adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Bobby Cannavale and Nick Jonas. The movie follows four high school kids who are transported into an adventure video game and must survive from its challenges. Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Lego Batman Movie) and Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity) & Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) wrote the screenplay based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg.

Tom Howe Scoring ‘Professor Marston & the Wonder Women’
Tom Howe is scoring the upcoming biographical drama Professor Marston & the Wonder Women. The film is written and directed by Angela Robinson (True Blood, The L Word) and stars Luke Evans, Bella Heathcote, Rebecca Hall, Connie Britton and Oliver Platt. The movie tells the story of Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the lie detector and creator of Wonder Woman, who defends his feminist superhero against charges of “sexual perversity.” Amy Redford, Andrea Sperling (Like Crazy, Smashed, Breathe In) and Terry Leonard (Hounddog) are producing the project for Topple Productions and Boxspring Entertainment.

Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, May 15, is the British mini-series Decline and Fall written by James Woods, directed by Guillem Morales and starring Jack Whitehall, David Suchet and Eva Longoria. The 3-parter’s original music is composed by Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Petigrew Lives for a Day, The Musketeers). The comedy is based on Evelyn Waugh’s classic novel and follows an inoffensive divinity student at Oxford University in the 1920s,who is wrongly dismissed for indecent exposure having been made the victim of a prank by The Bollinger Club. Evgueni and Sacha Galperine have composed the music for the drama Loveless (Nelyubov). The film is directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev (Leviathan, The Return) and stars Maryana Spivak, Alexey Rozin, Matvey Nokikov, Marina Vasilyeva, Andris Keishs and Alexey Fateev. The movie tells the story of a couple locked in a bitter divorce battle forced to cooperate when its young son goes missing after witnessing one of his parents’ violent arguments. Zvyagintsev also wrote the screenplay with Oleg Negin (Leviathan).
‘The Dinner’ Soundtrack Details
The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for the thriller The Dinner. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Serge Gainsbourg, Nico, The Shoe, Locust Honey & more, as well as an original track by Eli Brueggeman. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul to Write New Songs for Fox’s ‘A Christmas Story’
Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will compose several new songs for Fox’s television adaptation of the 1983 classic feature and the Broadway musical A Christmas Story. The 3-hour television event based on the movie and stage musical follows a Midwestern boy named Ralphie who attempts to convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa that a Red Ryder B.B. gun really is the perfect Christmas gift. Jonathan Tolins and Robert Cary (Grease: LIVE) are writing the script. Marc Platt (La La Land, Into the Woods) is executive producing the Fox Broadcasting Company and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television.
‘Master of None’ Season 2 Soundtrack Released
Lakeshore Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Master of None. The album features the songs from the show’s second season by artists including Mina, Ryan Paris, Bobby Charles, Sylvester, Pino D’Angiò, Will Powers, Soft Cell, Bobby Charles & more. The soundtrack is now available to download here. A CD version is set to come out next month and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. Master of None is created by Aziz Anzari & Alan Yang and stars Anzari himself, alongside H. Jon Benjamin, Eric Wareheim, Lena Waithe, Noel Wells and Kelvin Yu. The comedy follows a 30-year-old actor who attempts to make his way through life in New York City.
Siddhartha Khosla to Score Marvel’s ‘Runaways’
Siddhartha Khosla has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Runaways. The show is created by Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Chuck) & Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries) and stars Gregg Sulkin, Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer and Allegra Acosta. The drama is based on the Marvel Comics property created by Brian K. Vaughan & Adrian Alphona and revolves around a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are in an evil crime organization and team up to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents’ actions and to discover the secrets of their origins.
‘The Wizard of Lies’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie The Wizard of Lies. The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni Galperine and Sacha Galperine (The Family, The Past, Madame Bovary, Nine Lives). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 19, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
